What I'm sincerely hoping for in view of what's happened with Gregory and others is that the FO and staff might learn something from it. Upon seeing the damage that occurs with respect to welcoming players with red flags, the FO and staff should, at long last, finally learn their lesson.
You'd think it wouldn't be asking too much for them to eventually realize that they've been foolhardy in trying to draft and/or acquire valuable players for little or nothing. It quite simply isn't a practical way to manage procuring talent and it never will be. Wasting valuable draft picks and resources on such impractical management should eventually give way to sane reasoning. At least, you'd think so but some things never change.
