Randy Gregory Update

I made no argument one way or the other. I'm just an observer.
I know that & knowing that made it easy to discern that short rd. Was just casually interjecting a somewhat obvious observation as the 'triggering effect 'of seeing Hitler was overwhelmingly compelling,,,er,,,prollyo_O

So are we advocating that Gregory be elected President or appointed SCJ? It's against the league rules. That's it, that's the deal and nobody has to like it but you do have to understand it. If the rules say you get suspended for doing it and eventually, you can get kicked out of the league, then that's the deal. If you can't count on somebody being smart enough to keep themselves out of that situation, then you count on them at all.

BTW, we've gotten the political jab in now so lets not go back to this or we will take the necessary actions. Lets keep it about Gregory and his issues please.
I am not suggesting Randy be "appointed" potus or scouts. He's too young. My point, obviously misunderstood by some is that he be given another chance. Totally non- political. I humbly apologize for any confusion I might have caused.

I understand but things like this get attention because it takes that long to tern political and then a perfectly good thread goes down the drain. Seen it too many times.

On the other hand, he's been given more then one chance already. I can't hold it against anybody if they are done with the guy. I am done with him. If he turns it around, that's good and I'm happy for him but I wont count on him.

I was being sanctimonious. Excessively so.

No, sir, do you think Gregory deserves a chance?

Everybody deserves a chance but you can't expect people to believe in you if you've already proven that you can't be trusted multiple times. At that point, it's on him to do it for himself and that's kinda how life works. Is it harder, yeah it is but honestly, he put himself in this situation. This guy has unlimited resources at his disposal. he can literally get any kind of treatment assistance he wants to. He's got to want to do it. Maybe he has already and maybe he hasn't but at this point, that's on him, the way I see it.

When Ganjory was nailed the week of the draft, he spoke about letting his Mom down, she didn't raise him that way. Then he slips and falls again and again and I am sure further disappoints her.

I do not know what the young man has endured on his "long way back" and certainly do not have the problem with him getting high like the NFL does. And his situation with pot is definitely not the norm. It does resemble psychological dependency and I have seen that.

I don't know what he can contribute being out of the game that long but two things are apparent. One, he did not give up on himself, two, the team has not given up on him which leads me to not give up on him either.

I have never been mad at him like some posters; I have been more puzzled. He hasn't harmed anyone here, only himself. I am always about the team, not individual players, but I am going to make an exception with him. I am really pulling for him to make it back and be able to look his Mom in the eye with pride and for her to return that look.

I hope he goes out and succeeds, ABQ.

I've been worse off in my life in the past and I'm happy I was given a second (and third) chance to succeed. Maybe that's why I pull for him.

Appreciate the mods allowing me in this thread, still. Thank you :star::star:

That post brought tears to my eyes. Such compassion.

According to that clown you deserve nothing. Just keep on buying the merchandise and going to the games and shut up because you are entitled to nothing. The NFL is entertainment. Lots of entertainment choices these days. These idiots take it all for granted. That will end badly.

I didn't watch a single playoff game last year. Not a minute. On purpose.

The NFL, and many other corporations, don't seem to realize that there is infinite entertainment available, and it doesn't take much disrespect of your customers to have them move on from you.

Disney has cost themselves billions with SJW Wars. The NFL cost themselves hundreds of millions with the Anthem protests.

Spontaneous combustion of shareholder value.
