don't understand the secrecy of his whole situation, you'd think he's in the witness protection program, Always very hush on all fronts. Any other player you hear who's applying for reinstatement, there seems to be transparency. All things Randy Gregory have gone almost radio silence the past 18 months.

Only thing I can think of is possibly he has a strong case for medical need for the pot and the NFL's hard stance towards him could have legal implications??

There are privacy laws that prevent the team from saying things without the player's consent. It appears that Gregory's agent want to keep it quite and the Cowboys must comply.

They probably don’t want to talk too much, so they don’t piss off the dictator and ruin RG’s chances of getting reinstated.

Kinda like what happened with Zeke. They kept talking and that likely pushed the dictator to rule the way he did. Obviously I have no proof of any of this.

I don’t think it’s so hush as it’s that no one really gives a bleep about him enough to be a big story.

I think you’re right and that is sickening. Either the kids clean or he’s not. His future should not be reliant on the whims of the dbag commish.

Yesterday on Reddit/NFL, one of the most popular NFL fan sites in the world, with over 700,000 subscribers and thousands of comments a day, the 2nd most popular post of the day was a thread about Wade Phillips addressing criticism of their expensive FA signings by saying “so Suh us”.

It’s the offseason. People are desperate for news. A Gregory update would have people salivating.

Been too long since he's played the game. I'm afraid he's finished. Sucks, he could have been a good one.

I’m not going to call him a loser, but yes, he should not be trusted at anytime

I hope Gregory is able to kick his addiction/habit which he clearly is having trouble doing and I think he probably didn't apply in December for reinstatement when he could have was because he failed another drug test while serving his one year suspension.....I hope he can turn his life around to enable him to continue to live his dream of playing in the NFL but personally, I don't think you'll ever see him play another down in the NFL..

  • Think about it in a reasonable manner!
  • If it was you or I, having been in compliance & eligible for reinstatement ,,,
  • 1)Would bivouac in the lobby of G.Goodells compound till he was forced to contend with you or I
  • 2)remained stoned and missed that whole part about having an N.F.L. career in life
  • The fact being there's ZERO word concercerning him& his efforts in being reinstated should tell you all you need to know

Youth is on his side. The rest is up to him. Its simply a matter of will power and it boils down to, do you have the mental toughness to overcome? If not...we don't need a player, nor do I want a player like that on my team or in the locker room. This game is about keeping your focus. I worry that he will allow this one thing(weed)...over come him. Pulling for the guy as a human being first and a player secondarily. At least he's not doing coke..cough cough..OBJ..

There has been plenty of news about Gregory, just not the news we would like to hear.
Mere speculation, bro!
I've seen nor heard nothing viable,
That link BDC posted up was from some news source in DALLAS saying "HE IS CLOSE TO BEING REINSTATED",,,, SHEESE! ya,well I'm CLOSE to being a millionaire once I acquire another 999,963 dollars,,,,o_O

Fully expecting him to come out and look fantastic the first few games, then get suspended again.

The NFL drug program is supposed to be confidential. The leaks we do get are not supposed to happen and if the process is done right we only hear when the punishment results in suspensions or like in this case reinstatement.

We heard from Gregory's team that they were applying but I wouldn't expect to hear much more until it is done. Of course there could be leaks but you cannot count on them or at least you shouldn't be able to by rule.
