Too many threads on Hardy- although the prospect of both guys on the same line together is great...
Gregory is the man to rally behind here. If the guy keeps his stuff together, we may have a truly exceptional qb-hunter for years to come, on a rookie contract, that appears poised to potentially make an immediate impact. The kind of impact teams pay tens of millions a year to have. Really rooting for this kid, as an original DC player.

There's all the potential in the world, but there was a bit of work in progress in him. Hardy is the complete package, just needs to shake rust off

Gregory may turn out to be a good one but this year hardy is the player who is going to make the biggest impact
That said Gregory is a guy who could be an exceptional player down the road
He is quick, has some moves for a rookie and although he is a light guy he actually plays with good power
He is a guy who is really going to get much stronger with a full off season and will develope a lot with a year of experience

I loved his movement, not just his feet, his activity, his hands... most of all his feet. I hope he becomes a student and fulfills his promise.

Once they all gel, Gregory, Hardy, Lawrence, Mincey, Crawford, cold be a pass rush to fear.
And if Gardner, Jack Crawford come along, even better.
But these guys still need some things to learn, the younger guys that is. But they will learn quick.

Bold statement, and maybe a little premature here, but IMO he will be our best pass rusher by seasons end. He's the only one out of the bunch that has skills that you cannot coach.
I don't think it's that bold to be honest. He has the best combination of speed, strength and size among the group by a significant margin. He also just has that natural feel for pass rushing -- that innate feel for leverage and slipperiness.

Honestly, I don't see too much difference between Gregory as a rookie and Demarcus Ware as a rookie. They play with about the same size, Ware had more mass, but not too much more (Gregory's weight has been waaaay overblown). They have similar moves, similar speed and similar bend. Ware was a tad more physical, Randy is better with his hands.

I think Gregory can show this year.

Do we still have the same optimism if he doesn't have that 1 sack but otherwise plays the same game? I didn't get to watch the game but saw the highlight of the sack play. I'm hopeful he has an impact this year.

I remember when Parcells said Ware should not be used every down, because he was not built for it and it would consequently wear him down.....I don't think it happened.

A fair question. Let's just go with the fact that he DID have a sack in his first outing.
