Pretty pathetic that no player or coach checked him after that terrible selfish penalty.
 
The harsh reality that no one wanted to talk about was that Gregory hadn’t actually played a good, full year of football since 2013 as a sophomore in college. That’s a long, long time ago, much of it not even being able to practice against other high level players. To think that he was just going to step in and do well in the nfl is just silly. If there were such a thing he should be playing in some sort of minor league system right now

Yeah, it was stupid. Hopefully he'll learn from it and not be as stupid next time. It would be particularly nice if the coach chewed him out on the sideline immediately after the play so he would realize exactly how stupid it was. But wanting to cut him over it? IMO that's just looking to take out some frustrations.

Everyone else? A 1/4 of the board here wanted to take him in the 1st. The reaction after taking him in the 2nd, I'm guessing most people here would have had screaming stomping fits if they hadn't. They took a chance on an extremely skilled player in what is a crapshoot. People here still criticize for not taking sapp and moss who basically had the same issues. Considering where he was rated talent wise you almost have to take him in the bottom 3rd of the 2nd. Especially when you look at were they were at the position!

That’s a penalty a player gets when their emotions get the best of them. Nothing at all to do with being dumb.

This thread is what happens when fans don’t know where to point their anger after a horrible game. We have so many problems on offense and Randy Gregory getting flagged for a personal foul isn’t even top 10 things seriously wrong with our team.

But go ahead and say a bunch of dumb things acting out of emotions. Like Gregory did.
 
I know it doesn’t matter and there was no excuse but I wonder what that guy said to him.

The NFL is so soft. He shoved a guy's facemask after a play, it's not like he took his helmet off and swung it. In rugby they'd just call that a little argie bargie and the refs would separate everyone and move on. And those guys aren't wearing helmets to protect their faces.

I get the emotions got the best of him. Happens every once in while to rookies to veteran players.

Things will get magnified in losses and swept under when the team wins.

However, that play gave Sebs a chip shot field goal. Seb has the leg for a 62 yarder, but it's not automatic.
Not that I had any confidence we would score again in the 4th, but it's a different ballgame if it was 21-13 compared to 24-13.
