Have we hit on something that may actually work defensively?

Both are all NFL, world beaters, and Cowboy killers of the past. I know that Moss had a lot of yards, but zero TD's...is that a first for us? And T.O. made a few catches, but no real damage...

Back to the original question...have we hit on something or did we just get lucky? Or is this secondary unit better than we may have really wanted to believe?

Moss still had a ton of yards but we did hold him down outside of that one play early that was most of the yards. I think we got a little lucky and our pass rush is better. If you get good pass rush you will contain most good recievers.

But most of the yardage was gained while we in our base 3-4 while the Raiders were in a 3 wide. Finally we started going with our 4-2-5 like we did for much of today and we shut down two very good passing attacks. It seems to make all the difference in the world.

I would like to throw a little love Pile's way. Granted, from a TV screen, you can't see much in the secondary. But the second half of the Oakland game, and this game, we played much better pass defense. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not.

I think our 2ndary is definatly not allowing big plays. That's good but if you get a pass rush it makes it easier for a defense.

our secondary is much better, just that glaring hole at FS, except for now, we know how glaring it is, and are scheming around it, hope we can keep it that way for the rest of the season

Isn't this the reason why we picked up a couple of corners this off-season?

Didn't BP reference this upon the signing of one of them?

There are so many good WRs out there and so many good passing games that it's hard to have any group of DBs shut down a team without a pass rush. The Eagles have 4 Pro Bowl type DBs yet we destroyed their DBs. We had all day to throw. When you have all day to throw your odds at having a good passing game go way up.

we also hit on Terrance Newman and Anthony Henry...maybe Aaron Glenn if we dont play against the Deadskins

Henry...that's the one that BP referenced about TO and the other receivers on our schedule, etc.
