This is just another example of Jerry Jones' inability to draft and evaluate talent.

We have 4 players left out of 10 years worth of drafting. It doesn't surprise me abit about Randy Moss.

I totally agree with ABQ ... had we drafted Moss, we wouldn't have given up two firsts for Joey Galloway AND a third for James McKnight. But why worry, Jerry Jones would have thrown those picks away anyway ...

How many rings has Moss got? Has Minnie made it to the big dance with him?
Headcases without self control will never get you a championship.

I just think as great as Moss is, if he were here, Dallas would have not been that much better. As soon as we started losing games by the handful, he would have sulked, and started behaving like he did in Minnesota. It would have been too much of a distraction and would have ended up in some public meltdown. I am glad we took Ellis over Moss, if for no reason than having to endure the public embrassment Moss can be when he is not getting his way. I wish him nothing but good things, as long as he is not on the Cowboys.

This is hilarious. I love the Moss hate. You guys crack me up. Here's a guy who's the most dangerous weapon in the NFL, and you flunks sit behind your PC's trashing him. Hilarious.

I love the excuses ... he's a cancer, he's a distraction, he's this, he's that.

Fark that. He's the best WR in the game right now, and the bottom line is we made a HUGE mistake in NOT taking him when we had the chance.

I don't want to hear about Greg Ellis. 10 Greg Ellis' isn't worth Randy Moss.

Keep hatin' guys. He's just wracking up NFL records.

and the losses keep on coming!

the Raiders looked like exactly the same team as last yr with Moss on the field...he didnt make them one iota better last night...Minnesota never won a championship with him either

he is an amazing talent, but the guy is a LOSER

Now don't go getting your tailfeathers all ruffled up about my comment. Thhat's one of the good things about being an Eagles fan on an opponent MB -- I get to mention observations about your comments that your own brother/sister fans porbably would let slide.

Now, about your comment quoted above ...I get you drift! BUT, I'm not so sure your concept applies across the board. Consider how many rookies or second/third squad players that have sat on the bench collecting splinters, yet, have "danced" on the shoulders of their team at the "big dance." Headcase without control or otherwise, does not matter if the team wrapped around the likes of Moss or any other player is successful. Hell there are rookies that have SB rings -- and everyone knows that rookies are all headcases until they prove themselves otherwise.

Therefore I believe your comment lack sufficient foundation to justify. Oh, you may be right, but you just have not justified your statement convincingly.
Let's give this guy Moss spme credit -- he's a playmaker! But he's not a Jerry RIce (in his prime)!;)

Tell me our yearly records again since we gave up on Moss:

8-8
5-10
5-10
5-10
10-6
6-10

That's pizz poor if you ask me, and for some reason, you seem satisfied with our ineptitude.

Totally agree. I cannot believe the number of people sniffing Minnesotas' jock this year.

Culpepper will no longer have the choice of throwing the ball up for grabs.

Moss will be seriously missed (from a skills standpoint) in Minnesota, and more so than anyone realizes.

From a skill stand point yes your right from a disruption stand point Minn is better off. 1 player who can disrupt an entire team is not worth keeping, Moss is not going to win a SB his team may but it takes a team and Moss is no team player and can't be counted on. I'll take a guy with a little less talent but is a total team player over a star who plays when he feels like it.

And not winning a damn thing otherwise.

The day he packed it in in the 2nd Qtr of the NFC Championship against the Giants was all you need to know about Randy Moss.

Besides, even if we had drafted him he would have blown his stack with te QB problems we've had since then, not to mention run roughshod over Dave "Kumbaya" Campo.

that is what I always loved about Coach Landry, he did not care who you were you either toe the line or you were out of here. That went for guys like Henderson and Duane Thomas.

Lets see.....If Irvin played for another team.....we would say the same thing about him....that he is a cancer and a distraction.

What has Moss done worse then Irvin off the field?......told the media that he doesn't go all out all the time....that he takes a break once in awhile.....like that doesn't happen to most players in the NFL......so he said he smoked a few spliffs....big deal...pot is all over the NFL.....just like it is in our society.....just ask Step...who we praised here all these years.....along with Newton.

What Moss is.....is a difference maker.....catching or used as a decoy....and one of the best in the game today.....there is no question aboout that.....that can't be said about Ellis.....and never will.

Give me playmakers.....I could care less what they do off the field....because I don't consider them role models and I tell my kids not to either.....Give me playmakers and you will see wins.

We are sooooo blind.....the players that past thru this organization....who weren't saints by any means....and we glorified them because they helped us win a championship....because we could forgive them....or look the other way because their talents were too great.....yet.....we look at other players from other teams and critizize them for their actions off the field.....but all they do is produce on the field....go figure

Not the case, Irvin no doubt messed up with his off the field actions but Mike sold out for his team be it at training camp, practice or game. Mike did not go around sulking or pouting, Mike did not take plays off. As far the role model statement I agree these are football players and in my opinion not role models just because they do play football. Non the less because it does take a team to win championships I want team players not over grown little kids like Moss

Did you ever, and I mean EVER, see Michael Irvin decide a game was over in the 2nd Quarter and basically stop playing? Hell Irvin never so much as took a practice off.

I really don't care about Moss off the field, the problem is his distractions and demands and attitude become a detriment on the field.

I'd rather lose with Ellis than root for someone who feels he's that far above the game. Because that kind of attitude spreads in the locker room, and you wind up losing regardless.

Ask Minnesota.

Irvin had his drug and hooker problem, but on the field the guy was a warrior, gave 110% and was an example for the whole team about work ethic...the guy was a pure winner on the field...

Moss is not any of those things

Even Irvin said the other day what made the Cowboys great was that the players played for each other not just for themselves. This is also what I see in the Pats, their talent is very good no doubt about it but it is not all about the individual numbers for these guys it is all about winning and you have players willing to sacrifice for the team.

can we just get over a decision that was made 8 years ago. Get over it people. Are we going to have to hear "I wish we had drafted Moss" every time he plays???????

Moss trains harder than 95% of the league IMO. The Cris Carter camp he goes to is one of the best camps for any football player let alone just WR's. He's a cancer because he is cocky he knows how damn good he is. He talks **** cuz he can back it all up. Think if we drafted him we wouldnt have lost those two firsts for Galloway and spent them on Defense, Hell the next year we could have been in postion to draft Culpepper or McNabb if we drafted Moss instead of Ellis. Dont get me wrong I dont hate Ellis its just we didnt have a superstar since Aikman retired, Emmitt slowed down and was cut and we drafted Roy.

To say Irvin never took a play off is hog wash......all players do it.....Moss has never been critized for not working out....missing training camp....

Remember the days when Campo and Gailey were here.....u telling me the players didn't quit or take plays off......geezz....Aikman was so fed up he started to run Norv Turner plays......some of you guys kill me with your agenda about a player of Moss ability.....Too bad we didn't draft him....and he put up numbers like he has with us.....we would give him every excuse in the book and trash any troll here who questioned him.

It amazes me....Moss...what...complained a few times....didn't like what he was told to do....took some plays off....they all do it......you telling me...Irvin never had any choice words.....geezzz....Emmitt even stated he was a diamond amoung trash....yeah...thats a nice attitude.....as a Cowboy legend....

Just imagine......the crap the players would of spewed out of their mouths with Campo here instead of Jimmy Johnson as our head coach.....Haley would of ripped his head off....yet Moss Questions the almighty Mike Tice and he is a cancer.....

And yet his own teammates including past teammate Chris Carter got feed up with Moss and his little pouting act he pulls or taking plays off. Team has to come 1st in a team sport and Moss puts himself ahead of everyone and everything. I will not deny his talent level just as I would not deny TO talent level but that talent does not mean a damn thing if your action start to cause turmoil on the team
