wrong....winning is everything......its a game....its not life....its a game....and if u don't play to win....u shouldn't be playing.

Give me players that are difference makers.....producers on Sundays........I don't really care what they do during the week....at nite....or what ever....but once you put that star on....play and play well and make a difference....and win....because if u keep on winning.....then the SB is in your hands....and thats all I care about....my team winning the SB.....I could care less about character.....how much charity he does....or how many women he sleeps with.....just win Baby.

And if 1 player get to a point that he becomes a distration to the entire team then it is time for him to go. No coach will sacrifice 52 player for 1 guy!! It still takes a team to win it all baby not 1 man

I agree....but if we could win with Irvin...Haley....."white house"....etc.....there is no sacrifice....did the Eagles sacrifice their chance to make it to the big dance with TO...he was one of the few who showed up at the big dance

I never said Moss can lead a team to the super bowl.....people are stating..."what has he won" debate crap....not me.....I've always said...its a team sport....my point is....the Jimmy Johnson theory.....give me playmakers....I don't care what u do off the field....just produce....Johnson succeeded in Miami (college) and Dallas (NFL) with that approach....he didn't care about egos...or what trouble they got into....as long as you made a difference on the field....u were okay in his eyes.....and he treated every player different.....superstars got special treatment.

BTW....Moss distraction is overblown....and overrated....so he laid off a few plays...he protested against a coach that should be coaching highschool. What Moss did was make players around him better on game day....he took the heat away from Culpepper, the running game....and the 2nd WR....DC's are afraid of him and he still puts up amazing numbers.

Give me a player with Moss ability and ego any day of the week....and I will give you a high character player back who does nothing to change the game or its outcome but he a hell of a nice guy and twice on Sunday :)

btw....wasn't Irvin and Eric Williams a distraction right before the Carolina playoff game where they were falsely accused?.....Should of we cut them then and there....even though nothing was proven.....I mean....that lady sure didn't go after Troy or Emmit.

People forget that Irvin won because of Aikman, Jay Nov., Emmitt, Moose, EWiliams, Stepnowski, Haley, Leon Lett, Ken Norton, Larry Brown, Tony Tolbert, shall I go on?

If Moss had that surrounding of talent, his team would be unstoppable - just ask Peyton Manning.

Manning could be a Super Bowl champ, if they could locate their defense.

I love Michael Irving, my favorite Cowboy of all time. But Mike had tons of issues, including attitude when he didn't get the ball.

I want talent on my team, and I hope that we don't become like the Sainted Texas Rangers fans who just hope that their team makes it to 500 in a season.

We are the Cowboys, we don't believe in losing and what not. Our standards should be up there. And no team in history is going to have a team full of angels like we fans think we are.

Talent WINS!

Funny talent wins but so far we gambled on guys with talent and questionable charcater and work ethic and it got us what. Let list these players

Derrick Ross; AB (yes i liked him but he had a 10cent head);QC;Larimore the list goes on and on it takes more than just talent it takes hard work + talent + Chemistry. Talent alone does not win games

Moss wants to win thats why he whines and complains and is a cancer. But neglecting to draft for defense for a team that seems to have a top 10 Offense is ridiculous. Drafting guys like Michael Bennett when they still had Robert Smith and spent midround picks on RB's every year and never seem to go after LB's in FA to actually have a Run D isnt Randy's fault it is Mr. Tice's fault. You cant be in a shootout every week, just ask the Colts. A team needs and above average Defense to be a SB contender and Minn just hasnt had that since their 15-1 year in 1998 I think. When they realize Defense as a whole is as important as a QB they will go somewhere. Moss would have been great here but if that happened Moss might not be the caliber of a player he is today with the mentoring he got from Carter. All in all IMO We would have been contenders a few years from 1998 to 2002 with Moss, without him we were 5-11 each year. Moss is just that damn good.

Again your version of a team and mine are different. I want talent but I want team players. As far as I'm concerned we don't need Randy Moss to become a top contender once again. As for Irvin again he laid it on the line for his teammates and yes his off the field problem hurt Dallas, as for Haley before he ever signed a contract he had a sit down with Jimmy Johnson and Haley did not pull his stunts in Dallas as he did in SF. Lastly there are other great players in this game that don't act like an arshole or disrupt their teams, Pats are filled with them and is a main reason they are winning championships

Ryan Leaf. :D

Granted, Big D's error in taking Ryan Leaf was like a fart in a tornado compared to the unbelievably monumental series of mistakes that led to us acquiring him. After all, he didn't single-handedly destroy your franchise. Still, it's somehow comforting knowing we weren't the only fans who had to suffer Cryin Ryan's presence on our roster.

Leaf was worth the gamble for Dallas given our cap situation at the time. One thing I will say for Leaf while in Dallas he did what was being asked of him and caused no trouble for us unlike his break down in SD.

Well, that was the tail end of the Beathard regime, when Bobby couldn't buy a break and couldn't seem to make a single correct decision. He got us to the superbowl in '94, and then did absolutely everything wrong after that. God, those were trying times.

Best QB I saw in SD though is still Dan Fouts, I have never been a charges fans but he was a fun guy to watch play the QB position and the playoff game aginst Miami was a classic. I was out breath after that game. LOL

I might buy into some of the disdain for Randy Moss if his actions, in the lockerroom or off the field, resulted in him missing games or diminished his production.

But the man has played in 107 of a possible 110 games for his career. And his production? Utterly unreal. Since coming into the league, he is virtually without peer, looking at the numbers. His impact is amazing.

He is a spoiled brat. Immature as hell. He is a bit too colorful for my taste. But then, so are a lot of players, including some rather beloved Dallas Cowboys who helped win Super Bowls here in the 1990s. And no, Randy Moss is not a viable candidate for anyone's teammate of the year award anytime soon.

But bottom line, he plays every Sunday. And he performs. Very well. So let me know when he stops doing those things. Then and only then I might share your sentiment. Until then, I can live with antics.
