Many of your are saying Moss is a quitter, because he said "i play when i want to play"; that was blown way out of perportion of the media and taken out of context. he doesn't like to block and when they run he doesn't give his 110% thats what he ment

Is this supposed to be an endorsement? It's just another good reason he is no good.

Many said that about Terrell too, and if Terrell gave 100% every game every min he was on the field, don't you think his concentration would be higher? thus leading to less drops?

Man T.O. was playing with basically ONE good hand and didn't miss a game, which is impressive...... Don't make excuses for Randy Moss because he's half the player of T.O.

i dont make excuses for no one but me, just trying to clear the story up. and what? 3 years ago everyone was saying that Randy and Owens are the best wide outs in the game, now you hear people saying others and Moss and owens are BOTH lower on the list.

There are rumors that the Raiders would trade Moss for the first 3rd round pick thrown there way ..would anyone be willing to do this..
Teamed with T.O. and Glenn would be the best set of 3 WRS possbly of all time..
Or let Owens walk
Or team him and Owens

I understand he makes tons of cash and hasnt been the same with the Raiders but he is a talent..

i probably wouldnt do it .
there is only one ball but it is intriging..

I dont trade for quitters.

TO is a headcase and has a bad case of the droppies, but at least he gives 100% effort on the field.

Moss "plays when he feels like it"......LOSER ALERT!!!

I would give up my 3rd rounder to keep him off the team!!!

You play for the Raiders for a couple of years and see how you turn out.

It doesn't matter-- no matter what, the one thing you never, EVER do is quit while competing...

Period...

A losing enviorment , breeds a losing mentality.

And quitting on a team breeds a losing mentality... why should the grunts sacrifice for the team, if the star has quite publicly quit on that team??

You put Moss on the Patriots and everyone would want him again.

Randy Moss is not the same talent that came into the league all those years ago...

Your right about T.O .. You can never say he doesnt give it his all. Moss does in his words, plays when he feels like it.

Which is why Moss is a LOSER, and will always be a loser...

I hope you understand that my contempt is aimed entirely at him, not at you... I honestly don't understand why you'd want that waste of DNA, but it doesn't make me angry at you...

I might get angry if I thought Jerry would listen to a thing you said on this subject, but I'm pretty sure that Moss would be a Dallas Cowboy at roughly the same time Hades froze over...

Which is the definition of a quitter... problem is, he didn't just SAY that, he PLAYED that way...

that was blown way out of perportion of the media and taken out of context.

Oh, by all means, do explain to us how "I play when I want to play" can be spun into something that's NOT a negative... this should be FASCINATING...

he doesn't like to block and when they run he doesn't give his 110% thats what he ment

That's bad enough, since part of a WR's job IS to block... but he's also admitted, and it has been reflected in his stats, that he doesn't run his best routes when he feels like the game's out of reach...

That's quitting too...

So you've gone to all this effort to try to defend this quitter, and all you've done is prove that he IS the quitter we've said he is...

I think his drops were mostly because of his bum finger, which was a very real issue...

Next, I expect you to argue that getting his finger hurt proves he's a quitter, too... :D

well duhhh i mean come on, if he didn't hurt it in the first place he wouldn't have to worry about the drops...he quit on the team by injuring him self :p:

Look at Moss' numbers the last 3 years, and make an argument that he's still one of the best WRs in the game...

The TRUTH is, the numbers he put up last year wouldn't even be good for a team's SECOND receiver, let alone their FEATURE receiver:

Receptions: 42, 52nd in the NFL...

Receiving yards-- 553, 58th in the NFL...

Yards per catch-- 13.2, 82nd in the NFL...

TD catches-- 3, 60th in the NFL...

Catches over 20 yards-- 6, 70th in the NFL...

Catches over 40 yards-- 1, 68th in the NFL...

H*ll, PATRICK CRAYTON ranks ahead of Moss in most of these categories... yards per catch, TD receptions, catches over 20 yards, catches over 40 yards...

But you'd go out and sign a clearly declining WR, when we've already got two good but aging WRs on the roster?? Yeah, that makes a LOT of sense...

sorry but i don't care about what he used to be, you judge a player on what he has done recently and moss hasn't done much. T.O. still ld the league last year in TD's with one hand and this season he will be better so moss can take himself somewhere else cause he is no longer a superstar receiver like T.O. - moss is now a decent player with a superstar's mindset.

Moss is a cancer

Moss, early in his career was the most feared WR in the game, so it was worth it for the Vikings to put up with the cancer that was Moss

today, Moss scares nobody...he doesnt run routes well...he quits...he doesnt practice hard...he is a LOSER

I dont get the enfatuation with losers...we're trying to win in Dallas, not be a haven for garbage...and Moss is garbage

I concur. :horse:

Has anyone mentioned we should have taken Moss over Ellis?

I don't think that has been discussed enough.
