Dallas with 35 sacks last year ranked 25th out of 32 and frankly I thought they ranked lower until I looked it up . Clowney with 8.5 led the team and i have no doubt he led with pressures . Considering Bailey and Bain should be gone by pick 12 this is what Dallas faces .

In years past I remember forced picks for need at EDGE or what was referred to back then Defensive END and that’s a recipe for disaster .

Athleticism is his concern, or lack there of. He can play the run but that is about it.

I think we have a shot a Bain. Besides that if Bailey drops Id hope for a trade up. I think we may sign Clowney back after camp though.

Sports reference stats have him listed at 6.5 for the season and 11.5 in 4 seasons.
He was also credited with 37 pressures from another source.
Who was the competition when he got those sacks and how many were due to pressure created by someone else?

We were on track for our worst sack total in 20 years until around game 15, then Clowney had his burst, lol.

Ended up our worst since 2011 I believe.

Our pass rush was one of the weakest in team history.

It's a shame that this FO has resisted doing enough to deserve a good defense in the past. Let's hope they've learned their lesson well enough to improve their pass rush in the weeks ahead. The ball is in their court to do so. If they fail, they'll have nobody to blame but themselves. It's wakeup time.

Missouri plays in the SEC and faced five top 20 ranked teams last season. Who the sacks were against I have no clue, but they play against good teams.

Well, if you don't have much of a pass rush you better be able to cover so if you can't find a good edge you should probably try to find a good cover guy. Like you said, reaching has hurt the team.

Clowney got a few sacks in that meaningless Washington game. Probably won't be back time to move on, hope they have a plan to do something. Relying on Gary and EZ just isn't enough

It led to a complete breakdown. The Chargers QB went up and down the field the journeyman in Arizona looked refreshed ready to revive his career , Broncos Bears Lions were all giddy with offensive highlights . I’m sure CP has taken notice .
