Ranking the States for Football

Seems like at the beginning of the high school season the top ranked team from LA played a top Texas team and got blown out by half time. I cant remember what teams they were. Any body else remember this I believe it was on Fox Sports.

46. North Dakota
No. 48 pro | No. 44 college | No. 40 high school: The Peace Garden State has no DI or NFL teams.

47. South Dakota
No. 47 pro | No. 46 college | No. 41 high school: The Mount Rushmore State has one NFL Hall of Famer.

North Dakota ahead of South Dakota is a joke! South Dakota boasts Norm Van Brocklin (Hall of Famer), Jim Langer (Hall of Famer), Lyle Alzado and Adam Vinatieri (future Hall of Famer?), all of whom are better than anyone North Dakota has put in the NFL -- and one of the guys ESPN lists for North Dakota, Pete Retzlaff, played for South Dakota State.

I couldn't understand a lot of their rankings once they got past the top 10 or so. They seemed rather arbitrary to me. For instance Hawaii at 35 over Kentucky at 36.

1 D1 school ranked higher than 2 D1 schools and 2 HOFers?

That's a lot of love for the Rainbows.
