Lol, these guys don't put their lives and risk CTE for our entertainment. They do it to get paid potentially tens of millions of dollars and for that kind of money it's a risk almost all of them are willing to take.
Also yeah a lot of them couldn't be bankers or sell insurance because most of them even though graduating from college aren't actually educated. 95% of them if they couldn't play football would be making 10$/hr flipping burgers or they'd be drug dealers if we're being honest.

I doubt that very much more like 5 for 75mil..you cant pay a RB 18-19mil they wear out to fast and regardless of how good doesnt guarantee wins..I realize Gurley got 60 at 20 per but doesnt mean we have to I would NOT go to 7 years 5 max..make it easy why lay with numbers just give him 5 for 75 50 guaranteed....I more year more guaranteed just less per..

Zeke is priority #1 to re-sign. I'd sign Foles in the offseason, re-sign Zeke and try to get a deal done with Cooper and Lawrence.

Why would you try to sign Foles? He's ok for a few games but for an entire season I doubt he's any better than Dak. Plus Foles will likely demand $20+ million. That would not be a smart move.

I wouldn't extend Zeke until next year. They have the fifth year option with him so he's stuck for at least another two seasons. By then they could pay him or draft another young RB.

As good as Barkley, Kamara, Gurley and Carson are, they are still part of the offense. It has yet to be proven that any RB can lead his team to the Big Dance in today's NFL. It has yet to be proven that a team needs a top 10 RB to even get into the playoffs or advance.

If they pay Elliott top dollar, the team will suffer somewhere else. The Cowboys could easily be in that all too familiar cap situation of too much money to too few players. Booger and the stars in his eyes is one reason this team hasn't done jack in a couple of decades.

exactly thats why id go 15 max per yr 4-5 yrs..hes worth that given his Receiving stats now..

Please, spare the pity party. There are several other professions that are high risk and get paid pennies on the dollar compared to what these guys make. The smart ones actually use their scholarships to get an education and a degree so they have something to fall back on in case something happens. You act as if we should feel bad for them because football is “all they know”.

Putting their lives at risk for our entertainment? LOL, hardly. How about because they love the game and/or make millions doing it.

And then there's the fact that they make enough money in one year to retire.

It’s better to give him an extension now than two years.

Give him a 5 year deal, that’s 8 years under contract which is still pushing it for a running backs timeline. Give him one in 2 years, it’s 10 years which means he will likely never see the end of the contract.

+1......agree it's smart to extend him now while he's still young and fresh. But I would make sure there's a 3-year out. It's even better if you can get him to take Gurley coz I think some may blow RB salary structure up for LeVone Bell ( Raiders or Bucs ). From what I'm hearing he's asking $17-18M.
