No he isn’t. In fact, I think he needs to be replaced as the primary backup to Elliott. He’s just not very good.
Great minds think alike!

Give him 3 years 60mil, 30 million guaranteed.
He EARNED it
But he does not gain 2000+ yards a season.
It might take 5 guys to do that.
Do your math.
Yes they could but we're talking about people that shot their mouths off about extending the QB who will be in his last year. Why shouldn't everybody line up?
You & me both, it was SO overused & ran into the ground back when yer HERO #88 was holding out for the big money![]()
Prediction - Zeke is a holdout next season which may lead to a trade. This could be his last game as a Cowboy.
People here worried about cap implications? It’s never really been an issue before so why be concerned.
Zeke is the mvp of this team. Without him no playoffs. Making the playoffs far outweighs zekes contractWhy don't you just pay everyone and then blow up the team next year by cutting everyone.
Got ya..Nah I was when I responded about your Garrett comment
Beads on the abacus.gurley was extended early. 4 years, 60 million, 45 guaranteed. Elliott can be extended after his third year just like gurley. the price has already been established. but zeke is worth more than gurley. beads on the abacus will be moving rapidly this off season.
Hmmm .I love Zeke, but if the cost is too much... It is much easier to replace a RB, than say, a QB, or DE. Needs to be a team friendly contract.

But we could cut him if he has a bad year. good year no raise bad year cut....no way.. he has a 4 year deal with 5th year team option, no?? He was suspended last year and that screwed us over, so I would remind him of that and tell him no way in hell do we redo his contract this off season. Whats the point of having these rookie deals in place if we redo them every time before they are up?
Doing that kills your cap money... I guess we should redo VanderEsch contract now also...while we are at it, Jaylon needs a new deal also.
No, I remember quite well. My concern would be paying big dollars for a RB with the high mileage and wear and tear that Zeke will have accumulated. And for all of Zeke's greatness, I still would not have taken him with the 4th overall pick in 2016. You never pick a RB that high imo.Hmmm .
When we lost our RB in 2015 to Philly..
it really hurt.
Randle What's his name sucked.
In 2016..
they could not get to the podium to turn in Zeke's card fast enough.
And he had to go like 6-10 in 2015 to do that.
Do not want to relive that.
People forget.
