Rashawn Gary looks like this year's Kenneth Murray

It wasn't even a one time thing. It was like a once per drive thing. Running straight away from his gap or the ball carrier.
May be a dumb question, but is that an issue with the scheme? He was a pretty good player and can’t imagine him being that inept.

He’s been in decline for several years.

His rush defense was always better than his pass rush, even once his pass rush fell off, but eventually it all goes.

It was a bad trade.

He “gave up” $10m to sweeten the deal for the cowboys.

But … the Pack was about to cut him and he would have gotten zero dollars, so he really jsut negotiated a free agent deal with Dallas and rather than let him test the market, we gave GB a fourth round pick.

He would have been a free agent and I doubt anyone would pay him even the “reduced” amount we did.

So, we overpaid twice.

We had a six page “Jaishawn Barham gives me Ray Lewis vibes” a week ago.

Here are a few more
  • “Does Phil Mafah give King Henry vibes?“
  • “Jaydon Blue reminds me of Tony Dorsett”. (One guess who started that one)
And this classic
  • “Denucci reminds me of Romo”
Never underestimate the Power of The Zone.
My personal favorite is Deuce Vaughn is the next Barry Sanders

While all that may be true, it doesn’t explain why he’s running away from a ball carrier. He isn’t that dumb and didn’t become dumb overnight.

Nope. He should be doing better than he is. A lot better.

Also can't find any more minutes after 30 years and 3 games.
I sent that last week. He got his minute lol.

He looks awful with the arm wave from five feet away from the QB. I gave him an eyeful in another thread since. That oughta learn him.

Might be cooked. Tough to say but one might suspect certain guys aren’t in the kind of shape they need to be.

I watched the Giants game over again. Rashawn Gary looks like this year’s Kenneth Murray. Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. Except Murray wasn’t making $20 million a year.
Could somebody please refresh my mind, why he was brought to Dallas???????????

No sir, Murray was never a pretty good player. He has been a bad player from the starts. Completely lacks instincts, it was in his scouting report. Since he's been this way w/ every team he's been on, no, not a scheme issue.

I was referring to Gary. It was mentioned that he was running away from ball carriers like Murray did. Gary may have lost some physical ability, but I doubt he became dumb overnight. That is why I was asking if it might be the scheme that has him doing that.

I don't believe so. Both were mentioned, Beware separated his posts where it appeared to be he was talking about Gary and then Murray.

Gary is definitely suffering from the scheme. Several are.

IMO, Parker is simply too young and idealistic. Coaches such as that plan things in an ideal setting as opposed to being realistic. Like Josh McDaniels trading up to take Tebow in the 1st.

Should’ve brought Clowney back.
Gary has been about as effective and spongebobs pet
