I haven't been to the movies in months, they all look like crap to me. Seems like unless your into endless spinoffs of comic book characters (unfortunately I'm not), there's nothing new out there

Saw A Quiet Place, Amazon, last night and it was pretty good but I could not imagine sitting in a theater with the ambient noise and watching that. I don't like my monster movies without origin, they just can't be there. I need to know where they came from and some back story.

Shazam - I give it a 7 out of 10. It was slightly more corny than I expected, but had some funny moments. The ending actually surprised me a bit, though in retrospect, it probably shouldn't have. It reminded me of the type of movie that would've been made in the 80's, but with better special effects.

The Curse of La Llorona - Just dumb (not surprising).

Black Panther - watched it again. It appears me being very tired and fighting sleep the first time had no impact on my impressions. I felt exactly the same - an okay movie in almost every way. Nothing special.

On a side note, my new projector looks great.

Vice - Ugh. Garbage. So much eye roll inducing BS propaganda. Like a Michael Moore "documentary" masquerading as a normal biopic.

Saw it tonight, I saw the opposite, 2 out of 10. The main character, Billy, was a street smart kid w/ some good quips who was morphed into a complete coward and a moron. The funny moments were the only bright spot.

He was morphed into the body of a superhero, but when he came across someone(s) more powerful, and still didn't know how to use his powers, he was scared. He still had the experiences of a kid who'd been abandoned at 3 years old, and moved from town to town, never having any family or friends, and never developing any sense of responsibility or concern for others.

Fascinating how different views can be.

Re-watched "The 33", really an excellent story about the resolve of men above and below the ground in view of seemingly insurmountable odds.

Now that the new Avengers is around the corner, I finally watched Infinity War. Decent flick, though I generally do not like set up movies.

Breakthrough - Okay performances, some cheesy dialogue as you'd expect. Definitely meant to pull at the heart strings and get it's faith message across. It was alright. Better production/acting than most faith based films.

Just rented Aquaman and recorded it. I give it a solid 5 out of 10. It was pretty much a cartoon. Talking underwater, and it sounds completely normal. Water doesn't seem to slow anything down. I realize you need to suspend your disbelief for some movies, but they might as well have started some of the scenes by looking at the camera and saying, "Here's something ridiculous for ya!" There's so much bad about it.

I like him, and his personality in the movie, but just about everything else was so bad. The technology was like Black Panther, but more over the top, and underwater.
Momoa was supposed to be my Lobo.
I will never forgive them for that.
