Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania (2023)

"I'M FULL OF HOLES!"
Of course, I am bias but I do think the Quantum Realm was very well conceptualized visually. It is completely alien unlike anything seen in previous Marvel movies, even
Ant-Man and The Wasp. Special effects get an A+ for me. That includes MODOK as well (again/seen in the trailer/
not a spoiler).
Understandably, Michelle Pfeiffer's character is an essential element in the entire plot (that much is alluded to in the trailer, so
not a spoiler). The entire Ant-Man family is engaging individually, although it *kinda* felt Evangeline Lilly's energy was a tiny bit meh once or twice. Paul Rudd delivers as the other half of the main superhero duo though. Newly cast Kathryn Newton played Cassie Lang well enough to make me forgot about Emma Fuhrmann, who was Cassie briefly in
Avengers: Endgame.
Do not blink or you will miss Bill Murray's cameo. It is not that short but yeah it's short!
Last but not least, Jonathan Majors. My advice to those who last saw him in
Loki and did not get any evil vibe from him is buckle up. His Kang is darkly sinister. Malevolent. Menacing. Good-bye Thanos. There is a new big bad in the MCU.
PERFECT casting.
Extras: two cut scenes. The first comes three minutes into the ending credits. The last appears after all credits have rolled.
BOTH are worthy of the wait. And the first cut scene is worthy more as fact than opinion,
especially for non-comic book fans that do not know who... Kang... is...
Time for a new avatar. For those who paid any attention to my avatar during the past three weeks, I rotated through all the main characters of the movie--changing to a new actor every fourth day until I reached Rudd before the movie's opening. Yeah. I'm a comics nerd.
