I watched Narvik last night on Netflix. It's a movie about a battle during WWII between the Germans, Norway, France and England. They bill it as the first battle Hitler lost but that is a bit misleading.
Anyway, it was the usual battle movie with the a sub-plot about a soldier and his wife who lives in the town with their son and his father. I was vaguely familiar with the battle but it was interesting to see it played out - even if it was a little off the official record. I'd give it a 6 overall.

That's Hollywood, I read an article where the actual person that John Wayne portrayed in The Longest Day walked out on the premier because he said that there were so many inaccuracies

Have to watch that "based on or inspired by a true story" if one wants accuracy. Hollywood has always bent that in the name of entertainment and keeping our interest.

The person that Wayne was portraying was LT. Col. Benjamin Vandervoort who was 27 at the time of the battle, and Wayne was 54 when he was cast

LOL I did like the line in the movie where they made fun of him in a sense when someone said he could not be william wallace because he was too short...and in truth William Wallace was said to be a very tall man.
I also liked when they won the battle against calvary when they said it had never been done in the battle of Stirling but never shows that it was the battle of Starling BRIDGE and the bottle necking of english calvary coming out was part of the reason they lost.

Prey for the Devil - Not bad but again nothing ground breaking IMO.
If you like movies about the possessed and exorcisms you will probably like this one.
There were couple of cool scene or effects but also it seems to have become pretty standard in these movies to see the possessed to a crab walk up walls or see them do
a weird contortion that is in most movies. They try to have a little twist to it but you figure it out pretty quickly but it does not take away from the movie.
They did leave it open for a possible sequel. I guess depending on how it does financially.

What a horrible plot. They need to fire whoever gives the thumbs up on these movies. When they hire someone new, that person needs to fire everyone who worked on the plot and script. I don't get it. I could day dream for an hour, and come up with a better plot and script than this.
The only thing I can think of is they start with their budget, available technology and cgi, and build a plot and script off of using everything available to them, making the plot and script an afterthought.
I could make s better thor movie than these people without cgi and on a small budget by using the conan style, and having him travel for 40 percent of the movie to an amazing soundtrack, sleeping with a beatuiful woman, and a few good battle and adventure scenes.

NOT Kid friendly at ALL. The trailers makes it seem it is.

The first 1/3 of the movie stays together pretty well however someone wanted
something more depressing and dark before giving the audience an anti-climactic ending.
Out of 10 stars my opinion?

The last 2/3 are worth 1

But alas at 5 it ends up being a middle of the road movie.

Watched Logan lucky. Band of backwoods misfits rob the Charlotte motor speedway. So stupid with several lol moments. Would highly recommend.
