Red Hulk is thrown in here and quickly put back on the shelf, likely never to be seen again.
This possibility was very likely since the cast was announced. Red Hulk should have been introduced somehow earlier during Phase 2 or 3 at the latest.

William Hurt was still in his 60's and may have not been too ill yet to perform as Ross. He played the role in 2016 in Captain America: Civil War. I would guess he could have pulled it off. And it would have been only eight years out from The Incredible Hulk.

Re-assigning to Harrison Ford had obvious risks. He has first-hand experience working with a main character played by a co-worker (Carrie Fisher) who passed unexpectedly with work left to do.

All characters have a way to outlive any actor in a multiverse format. Maybe that is one way they can give Red Hulk a fresh re-start.

That’s an area where I felt that Ford - and any recast - would have a difficult time connecting with the audience.

The character’s story involved past events with another actor. It’s difficult, if not impossible to achieve the same level of emotion when everyone knows it’s not the same guy.

It would have resonated much differently if it was still William Hurt in the role.

Ford did a great acting job, but the task was too great, even for him.

The tale of two movies.
First part is boring and more of a slow love tale.
Second part ramps up the action and visuals

It is ok for a movie that was not released in theaters
Some of it kind of reminds me of the last of us show and the natalie portman scifi movie called Annihilation.

The wife and I just finished watching it. Definitely a slow burn to start, and while the buildup takes its time, the payoff delivers. We enjoyed it.

Oppenheimer

a dive into the troubled brillant mind
of a icon in history.

long, slow but for myself, that's not a problem.

will probably look into some of the validity
of what was presented on screen

i did enjoy it.

8 out of 10

Captain America BNW

My 10 yr old loved it
I'd give it a 5/10

The flow was just off. Guessing the reshoots had alot to do with that.
Also, the one costar and her height just threw me off....

Yep. That will take a lot for me to get used to IF I ever do. It will not surprise me if she is worked completely into the Marvel Cinematic Universe like Scarlett Johannson and Florence Pugh.

The Red Room sub-theme has already been worked into the franchise Avengers: Age of Ultron and Black Widow. Seeing more Widows will not be surprising. Whether they look like they are Widow material may be a real issue going forward.

I think her character and screen time were changed extensively during filming due to current events.

She was originally supposed to be Sabra.

Anyone else find it odd that she was all dressed up with nowhere to go on that aircraft carrier?

To Catch A Killer - The wife and I watched this on Netflix last night. Meh. It was alright. Watchable, but filled with unrealistic scenarios and an anticlimactic ending. I wouldn’t rush to see it, but if you need some filler content, it’s worth adding to your queue.

Yup, definitely supposed to be Mossad

Had super hero suit and did nothing with it

(now on Netflix)

when i haven't seen this film in quite awhile, i keep forgetting what the purpose of the girl in Red is supposed to be.
yeh, I have to google around to get a clue & hint.
Fabulous acting and stage setting. Love the black and white feature to bring it to the historical 1940 era that was presented to
us in 8MM black & white film.
And one of those films where lengthy time limit doesn't matter to me at all.

Its a 10 on my scale. Totally worthy of It's Oscar best picture.

Guy who played Jamie Lannister on game of thrones has some good movies although they do not seem like they were big at the theater.

The Two above are great action movies. Good gritty stuff with a rough edge. Sadly most have never heard of either.

Good horror movie. Well it is a Guillermo del Toro movie and his are usually pretty good IMO.

This one is a bit slow but the payoff for the end is pretty wild.

Good movie, but I thought Liam hammed it up too much at the end.

Borderlands - So I finally watched this last night. I went in expecting to hate it, but it was somewhat entertaining. That said, I can definitely see why it bombed. From what I understand, the movie went through some production hell (thanks, Covid), and it shows. The writing was meh, the story was predictable, and overall, it struggled to keep me engaged. By the end, I was definitely losing interest. I had a few genuine laughs, but most of the comedy felt forced.

I will say they nailed the Pandora set. It really captured the vibe of the world well. Cate Blanchett also looked great for her age. But yeah... that’s about it for the positives. Honestly, I think this could’ve worked better as a series (like Fallout) with stronger writing.
