Rate the last movie you saw

I watched Borderlands last night. For some reason I watched it to the very end. I can't decide the bigger question though. Why did I watch this movie? or Why would Cate Blanchett make such a horrible movie?

And what did she do to her face?

I think we've seen this movie a dozen times on various planets, or in various cities. They are all stupid, but the first ones at least were novel. This one is just stupid from beginning to end. It really is time to hang up this plot because writers trying to keep if fresh are just making it dumber and dumber. Kevin Hart couldn't save it and Jamie Lee Curtis has been an albatross for any movie made since Arnold Schwarzenegger had real muscles. And can they please stop using the R2D2 wannabes in all these space movies. Retire them all, and Jack Black as well.

I have to give this one at most a 3 out of 10.

I could not finish it...guess I did not hate myself enough that day.

I've heard this from pretty much every single person that has seen it, but I still want to give it a watch. It’s that strange curiosity, like when you can’t help but stare at a wreck. I just have to see for myself how bad it is.

I watched Orca the Killer Whale for that reason. I am glad I did because it was the worst movie I have ever seen. I needed a movie to put on the bottom of my list.

In the name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.

Worst movie. The director is famous for bad movies but that thing I could not figure out was how they could get a cast with...

Jason Statham
John Rhyes-Davies
Ray Liotta
Matthew Lillard
Ron Pearlman

And Still be one of the worst movies ever. They had to have money for the film but man it was fired out of a turd cannon.

Some movies you have to watch to the end because you know its bad in the first 5 minutes, but you want to know just how much worse it will get.

Saw this over the weekend, I thought it was good

Kind of cheesy.
Has Purge movie vibes to it and one of the guys from some of the purge movies is in it.

The initial transformation scenes were promising but the end product looks silly and the snouts all out of whack.

Go into it with low expectations but it is not a very good one.

But if you want some mindless action and werewolves to pass a little time, you might be ok with it.

I finally got around to watching Deadpool & Wolverine. I thought it was a fun movie. I may have to watch it again to see how many jokes I missed. Case in point:
it wasn't until the credits, thinking about the movie, that I got the Elektra/Daredevil "it's fine" joke
.

Den of Thieves 7/10

I saw a sequel is coming out soon, so thought I would watch it. With Gerard Butler and 50 cent starring in it, I thought it would be god awful, but it was surprisingly OK. It’s a poor man’s Heat.

They could have shaved an hour off, but a decent time waste movie.

Since I am kind of trapped inside due to air quality, I decided to watch this movie that I have wanted to for awhile. If you like cheesy B-movies and intrigued by bigfoot…..I have the movie for you. The Bigfoot Trap does not disappoint. It is pretty bad in a good way but you have to like sasquatch :muttley:

Did the same thing and agreed with your take.

After that I went and watched another Gerard Butler movie I have not watched in a long time. Law Abiding Citizen.

Speaking of Gerard Butler....

Greenland 8/10 - Have seen it a couple times before - really like disaster movies and enjoyed this one. Thought it was very intense with more of the human side reaction than the actual event itself.
Think there are plans for a sequel - Greenland Migration. It's been delayed but might have started shooting

"Slingshot". As I watched this movie I was certain I had seen it before. I hadn't but it looked so familiar. The problem is, the story is so predictable you kind of figure it out in the first third of the movie. The writers try to throw you off from time to time, but at the end you find out you were right all along. Once you get to the end, you feel the entire story was dumb.

I like Lawrence Fishburne, generally, but at his age and body shape, it is hard to understand what he would be doing on a multi-year space mission. How did he pass the stringent tests to determine if he was space worthy or not?

The problem with the movie is once you figure out what is happening, the movie starts to feel like it is too long. They are dragging out the punchline you already know is coming.

I didn't hate the movie, but I admit there were times I wished it just ended. I am not a big fan of Casey Affleck. His acting isn't terrible, but something about him just doesn't appeal to me, as an actor.

I'd give the movie a 5/10. Some folks might like it. I didn't.

On a Gerard Butler kick.

Rock N Rolla
Geostorm
Law abiding citizen
Den of thieves

Just watched Cop Shop last night.
Had not even heard of it until recently/

Fun movie to watch.

I liked it more than you, but I agree with your criticisms. Strange movie.

Plane and Greenland if you haven't seen those already are two more solid Butler movies.
