The play did not happen the way you described. The KC lineman were in the habit of submarining the DL on kicks and Ratliff remarked on it after the game. This was something Ratliff said they picked up on tape.

It is in fact against NFL rules to hold down a player while another runs through or over them to make a block but--this is not what happened on this play.

Agree, I didn't see it that way at all. I have seen them call that before when it did happen though.

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but I replayed it several times and it "appeared" to me on the successful block by Ratliff the the D-lineman on either side of Ratliff were leaning on the backs of the Chief players. The lineman to the left of Ratliff released his guy right after Ratliff jumped over him and you can see the O-lineman bounce up after the weight of our d-lineman was removed. I replayed it several times because I could not understand why the KC O-line just sat there after the snap and did nothing allowing Ratliff to hurdle them.

Maybe someone more internet literate than myself could post the play in question.

If the rest of the team would give the kind of effort that Austin did Sunday, & Rat has done all season, we would be undefeated. I know we had four sack yesterday, but the rush still has a ways to go. No way should a great team let a team like KC march down the field like that to tie the score in the last minute. That's the third time in five games, and we lost the other two.

If any team in the league gave the effort Austin and Ratliff did they too would be undefeated.

Awesome. :)

And you know what I love? I'm pretty sure that's our regular D on the field there. I really like how we leave our D on the field for FGs in situations where we think they could fake it.

Side note:

I just knew that ******bag Haley was going to run a fake on that extra point after they got it to 20-19. I guess the way he started out the game got me worried.:

I couldnt believe he didnt go for two.

But then I thought about it and what has been the gameplan to beat us....hang in there late and let them beat themselves. Fortunately we didnt yesterday, because it was setup that exact way again.

I bet haley thought hard about going for two, especially when they reviewed the td and I bet he didnt because he and everyone else knows the cowboys will beat themselves late.
