As per KFFL.com,

Ravens | Rolle to be released
Fri, 13 Mar 2009 11:12:20 -0700

JOCKlife.com reports the Baltimore Ravens will release CB Samari Rolle, according to a league source.
==================================
Basically, since the Ravens signed D Foxworth, and Rolle didn't want to take a paycut, they will release him.

Again, I'm not sure how effective he was last season. But since we may be looking for 1 more CB, here is another potential name.

So they're cutting their top two corners from a year ago? Man they must be impressed with the guys they have in there or something.

It'd be interesting, but I don't think Dallas should do anything to hinder the development of Scandrick/Jenkins. Anybody they bring in has to be for depth.

I would love to have him, I'm sure he has lots of years left. Samari Rolle will only be 33 years old when the season starts. It will be perfect for our youth movement.

Rolle would be a nice addition. Dallas needs depth at that position.

After seeing Holmes just abuse Cromartie in the superbowl. I feel getting some more vets in the CB position would be good.

Maybe we can sign him and Tory Holt, and then trade them both to Buffalo for T.O.! :laugh2:

I'd take Cromartie in a heart-beat... Cromartie had him locked down for the whole game. It was only when the Cardinals decided to go 3-man rush and give Big Ben all the time in the world that they actually moved the ball.

I'm highly hesitant to sign washed-up name players. Maybe Rolle can still play, but it's been a long time since his name was in discussion as a solid player from what I can recall.

I was in favor of a Springs type. A guy who you know can still play but may have some injury concerns. But Rolle? Hmph.

He had lots of injury problems last year. This move had been rumored for some time (Ravens dropping him).

We have to sign a vet, be it Lucas, McAllister, or Rolle. We have the following at CB:

Newman - no way he plays 16 games, last two years he's missed games with injury and now he's on the wrong side of 30.

Jenkins - has a bright future but this will be his 2nd year. Still has alot to learn.

Scandrick - same as Jenkins

Ball - 3rd year with team and still hasn't played alot. Don't think I would trust him to start.

Draft - I see us drafting two CB's and neither would I trust to start on an every day basis.

We have to add a vet. for insurance and experience.

This guy can play. He has struggled with injuries, but he reminds me of a faster Bobby Taylor with better ball skills. I am usually against the idea if loading up via free agency on the whole, but I wanted the 'Boys to sign Springs after Henry's trade.
I wonder if he'd garner much on the open market.

How can Rolle be washed up if he was injured last season?

BTW, Holt was released 2DAY

Believe me I'd take Cromartie too.

I'm just saying If the player your gaurding wins the MVP of the Superbowl.....you did something wrong.

I'm sure this past season will make Dominque a better player in the future.

me too, his catch-up speed is crazy, if he just learns how to bait QBs, he's going to be a very good one

but no to Samari, he got cut because he refused a pay cut, screams of wanting money to me
