I wouldn’t mark a loss down just yet. The Cowboys have been real good the following week after an embarrassing loss. They seem to rebound real well after a debacle when they’re angry. We’ll see if that holds up on Sunday. However, this is a tough matchup facing an extremely mobile QB and a powerful RB. If our defense doesn’t hold up and it leads to back to back losses at home, this is going to be a long season. If the Cowboys lose, that will make it three straight home losses dating back to the playoffs last year.
I actually like this matchup for the Cowboys defense. Baltimore has speed on the outside, but doesnt have a WR that can really create mismatches. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Cowboys trusted Diggs to play on an island most of the game and played with a heavier box. They have a couple of really good players on that OL, but overall its not a great unit. I also think Overshown is the perfect player to have on the field to help contain Jackson too.
The way Baltimore has built their offense they almost look like Cleveland with a more talented QB on paper, but they have two good TEs and a pretty good FB so they could play a lot of those 2 receiver sets that the Saints killed the Cowboys with last week. That part is going to be an interesting chess match to watch in this game. Zim needs to have a plan A,B, and C in place if they do run a lot of 21 and 12 personnel.
