The reason I'm convinced tomorrow will be the Passion Bowl for the Ravens is simply this:

If the Ravens come out in the game right after Ray's comments and don't play well...if Flacco doesn't look really good...a psychological effect called "Conformational bias" will kick in.

Teammates and fans alike will look at Flacco's demeanor...link it to a failure to win the game...and things will snowball very negatively moving forward.

Joe will be on his way down the chute. People will lose faith.

Fairly or unfairly--or in this case very unfairly...Joe's career is in the balance tomorrow.

Actually, that's how it goes in all games. I have yet to see a SB winner that didn't get some VERY lucky breaks during their SB season. Whether that be lack of injuries, lucky catches, no penalties, etc etc etc.....No team wins a SB without some "good luck" along the way.....

You mean things like not getting arrested for murder? I guess that wasn't the same season as their SB.

Exactly. Just keep Wallace from the DEEP ball and we should be ok.
