we have zeke and pollard for at least one more year. so no need IMO to draft a RB this year unless we are smitten with one and It would have to be in lower rounds. chances are the 3rd RB is inactive on game day and you don't want your 3rd or 4th round picks to be inactive.

you can always find a veteran RB for relative decent price in FA, so it wouldn't be two rookies. and RB Rookies are and have been very effective.

its just that we have needs at OG, Center, DT, LB, saftey, TE all of which I would put above a RB in terms of need. all of those are immediate needs as well as future needs. a RB in this draft would address future needs only.
What happens next year when we want to cut Elliott?

Count on no one? Sign some exhausted veteran? Draft?

That's how you end up giving a guy like Pollard a second deal which should never happen....similar to giving Schultz 11m this year.

We need to draft one this year.

Then one next year.......this way their contracts are not up in the same offseason when it's time to churn the position next.

OL, TE and RB in this draft are key parts of being ahead of something for a dammed change instead of whackamole.

I said this about DE last year when we reached for a corner at 44.
