IMO, he would be a much better at the Joker (Aaron Hernandez) role if he were to switch positions. He played some TE at UCF prior to becoming the starting HB because of his blocking in the passing game and his soft hands. He switched back to RB later that season due to injuries and was too good there to move back.

Interesting.

I was thinking that Latavius Murray looked like a big WR.

Anyone notice the push his OL was getting in most of the film? They were consistently 3-5 yards down the field when he made is breaks.

Maybe we should take a hard look at their OLinemen instead, given our need...

Wonder what he would do with a Dlineman in his face as soon as he touches the ball like Murray has to deal with?
You might take notice of the QB Bryan Bortles-6'4", 221 lbs. The video doesn't show all that he is capable of but gives you an idea. Will be a junior in 2013 and his 2012 stats were 3059 yds,7ints, 25 TDs??,63% comp. pct., plus had 86 rushes for 8 TDs. Not sure if he will come out next year for the draft but seems to have some talent to work with, plus I like the pass/run combo for a QB.

We don't need to use a pick on QB this year. Next year or the one after will be soon enough.

This season will tell a lot about how he can do because O'Leary is really making him the focal point. He has a deep group of receivers and his O-line is solid except for a new Center.

He was shaky at times early last season (particularly against Ohio State), but he came on very strong and only threw two picks his final eleven games. He might be the best we've had at QB since Daunte Culpepper.

He's not built like a RB, but he has light feet and he makes good cuts. I do note that his O-Line was givng him good holes, but he knew how to use them and didn't get nervous feet when he needed to change direction. You could line him up all over the place and keep people guessing. Can he play TE or go into a 2 Back set as the H Back?

Looking at the SMU game, I note that Margus Hunt really struggled to get upfield on the pass rush. UCF did a good job in neutralizing him. Murray basically ran North-South against both those teams. He's an intriguing prospect. Put both Murrays in the Cowboys backfield and you have potential confusion.;)

If that highlight video is indicative of his game as a whole he seems to have solid vision, sets up his blocks well, understands how to take the defender's angle away, has great speed, and runs well in the open field.

That video doesn't show many "Tough, inside" runs. Runs where the whole wasn't there but he turned it into a big play by breaking tackles. Not saying he can't do it, but it's definitely a question mark.

I watched almost every game he has played (UCF Alum). He does run a little high, but he has displayed very good vision and football smarts. I say that because he always found secondary holes on the fly when the primary one was filled with defenders.

He has very subtle wiggle if that make sense, always falls forward. Not as much contact as some scouting reports might lead you to believe.

If they don't upgrade the line, then Dallas should look for a player with more juke. I don't know if that player exists, but Murray's game is not suited to escaping multiple defenders in the backfield as soon as the QB hands of the football.

He is very much a JG type of player. He was a leader in the UCF locker room and was in the gym all the time. When they played BC a few years ago, he did an excellent job of blocking Luke Kuechly when BC blitzed him.

Love this kind of info. Thanks.

That's what makes him so interesting as a draft pick.

I honestly think you can line him up anywhere on the field. RB, H-Back, TE, Fullback, Wideout, and Wildcat
