Drafted by Cowboys RB Phil Mafah Clemson

He basically drafted like he is trying to replace him. Luepke was McCarthy's guy.
Maybe, but they're pretty different. Luepke is more of a swiss army knife -- can catch, block, play some TE/H-back. Mafah is just a big tailback.

Not really don't be delusional they're not bringing in two more free agent running backs.
Didn't say I expected it. Expecting it would be delusional. I'm saying I'd do it. We don't know how this running back group is going to sort out. I'd prefer that we not wait to find out if it is worse or better than last year's. See if Chubb can get back to his 5.0-per-carry form. See if Dobbins can stay healthy.

I was saying last season that I wanted us to use less two-tight end and more one-TE, one-FB formations because I thought Luepke offered more than any of our backup tight ends. He saw increased use, but I would like to see the fullback lead be a regular part of the running game. Tight ends just don't block the same as a fullback coming out of the backfield.

I would be against trading for Breece, now if they release him that is different. No need in trading picks (reason for no 4th this year), rather go with what we have.

Want to see us go get Nick Chubb and JK Dobbins. Let them all fight it out and see who sticks.
Thats not how it works. No team has ever signed 4 veteran backs in addition to a 5th round rookie to "fight it out". Never been done and never will
