RB Position

I wholeheartedly agree with ur post. U cannot pass on Ingram. If u go second and third to Oline and possibly pick up Mankins and address Safety in FA thats a win.

Im down with Ingram but 2 things bother me.

1. He is a RB and RB's are a dime a dozen..

2. The message it sends drafting another glamour position player in the 1st round.

yes please. he is for real.

Bill Cowher with Norv as our OC and our 1st pick Mark Ingram....

I can only dream...

I feel u on those points as well, but U cant pass on a player like this especially when our RB suck. U are not gonna get a better OL player compared to Ingrams skill level at his position. There is more than one round in the draft to get Olineman depth.

Im down with that too.

I just feel like you have to committ to the run and with all the receivers we have and the QB we have we will never committ to it.

So if we're going to be pass happy than just build the Oline.

But if you can get Norv here... Woooo

Honestly it's November and im not sure what I want lol.

You say RB's are a dime a dozen than shouldn't we have 30 cents right now, remember we have the three headed monster. All our RB's are a little overrated. Felix Jones simply is good on outside pitches when we block for him but up the middle consistency he stinks. Marion Barber runs hard but simply gets hit too many times in the backfield and gets stopped at the line. Now his short yardage running may still be valuable when the line improves and that's a fact because he does run hard but his contract is way too expensive for only that need. I'm not a Felix Jones fan because I think hes not even close to a complete RB and the only reason we took him so high was Jerry being blindsided to his Razorback love. RB change when retooling the OL is much needed. I will say this however that if we end up getting the #1 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft you have to do two things: stay there and take Andrew Luck or trade down for multiple picks. You simply have too.....

Woooo thats a whole nother can of worms right there.

If we take a QB than its going to get crazy around here.

And I wouldn't take luck. I'd go with Mallett.

Big Ben Part deux.. His height is such an advantage for him.

Felix consistently is hit in the backfield.

Choice was playing against prevent defense in garbage time.

Yeah, yeah - the oline can't block.
But after seeing Choice play more today, I think he will deliver the most consistent results. He can make people miss, Felix can't. And we know Barber is done. Not saying Choice is elite but I think he would move the chains better than the other two.
I said this, ummm a year ago.

I would love to have Mark Ingram.

But we have to fix the Oline 1st. Maybe through Free Agency or whatever.

Trading for Mankins this Offseason would be a good start.

That's exactly how I feel, but I certainly wouldn't be upset if we picked him though.

I never like 2nd and long or 3rd and long which Sanders provided as much if not more than he provided something out of nothing.

I would never want him on my football team. Ever.
yeah right, he only averaged 5 yards a carry for his career.

he also was a gutless player, consistently led the league in runs for negative yards, once had a playoff GAME where he ended up with negative yards rushing, was pulled weekly in GL situation, and had his heart questioned by teammates on several occassions

I hope he plays just so people will shut up about thinking he is some sort of answer behind this terrible Oline.

I hope he plays too, because he is the right choice and the answer
