This year there aren't many RB's that will be picked in the top 2 rounds, but rounds 3-4 are full of decent runningbacks. Next year there are people like leonard fournette, nick chubb, samaje perine, etc. The question is do you pick up a back on a short contact in free agency or take one this year.

If Henry or Elliott is there in the 2nd, I'll take one of them. Otherwise, I can wait until next year.

Don't like Fournette at all. Dalvin Cook is the head of the class at running back next season. Chubb may not even be 100% when the season begins.

I personally wouldn't have a problem with keeping Turbin and DMC, and adding either a mid-round pick or a mid level free agent. Then, you can still add a running back next year if you feel the position needs to be addressed.

I think its addressed next year. They like McFadden so that's who they are set on going with.

I have a crazy 3rd option...draft 1 both years.

I say crazy only because our front office neglected to draft 1 at any point last year despite an obvious need. Instead going with the stability of Joe Randle.

Nothing wrong with that.

What is the matter with you?

Hopefully we are nowhere close to a position to draft him but Fournette is the real deal.

Haha I just don't like how he finished the season. He really wore down. I think he's too upright and doesn't have great balance. I would take Elliott over Fournette any day and twice on Sunday.

I think Zeke is on par with Gurley myself. Both studs. Would love to have him.

But I think I want Henry in the 2nd.

Wore down?? Not the case. If you watch lsu football you know that they are one dimensional. It's kind of hard to run at 9 in the box and they know you're running it every play of the game!!

I don't think it's viable to plan what you are going to do in the draft a year in advance. Things always happen that nobody can plan for. Players get injured, they get exposed, they unexpectedly go back for their senior year, other holes open up that you never imagined would be there and countless other things can happen with a football team/player year to year.

I can't tell you how many times I've read or heard, "but next years class is loaded at X position" only to see it end up lackluster. You address your holes (present and future holes) as best as you can each season and worry about the next draft class next year. Jmo.
