I still like what we have if they stay healthy and Dunbar returns to his old form. I'll take DMC at 16 carries a game, Turbin at 8 carries a game and Dunbar at 3 carries and doing pass receiving duty. That alone would put DMC at 256 carries for the season which I think is do-able. I actually like Elliott quite a bit. Henry has me a bit nervous because I would honestly want a better RB than what Brandon Jacobs was (that's who he is projected to be). I like his upside though.

But at this point, we have too many critical holes that need to be addressed, not only for now...but for the future. Our corners need an overhaul and we need to figure out what to do with Byron and overhaul the SS spot. Then we need to look at the MIKE and consider that Sean Lee turns 30 and simply cannot be trusted to stay healthy.

We also need to look at TE (although I actually think Hanna could be a good replacement for Witten).

And of course, we have the QB position to look at.

Don't like Fournette at all. Dalvin Cook is the head of the class at running back next season. Chubb may not even be 100% when the season begins.

I personally wouldn't have a problem with keeping Turbin and DMC, and adding either a mid-round pick or a mid level free agent. Then, you can still add a running back next year if you feel the position needs to be addressed.

and your reasons for not liking fournette? what tape are you watching especially compared to cook who say is HEAD of the class

lol no he wont. he's so overrated its sad. if you think hes the second best back.........................

He has the size of a linebacker with halfback speed. And tremendous power.
He will dominate behind the Cowboys offensive line. I would set the mark at 1200 and bet you $1000 he would break it. I bet you wouldn't take that bet.

na he would because our oline is basically what Alabama has in college just using as comparison to make my point, which everybody keeps saying he had such a good line in Alabama that open up gapping holes for him and I think our oline is good enough to open some holes based upon past couple seasons I don't see that trend stopping.. he gets in open field he aint getting caught from behind from the tape i saw and games i saw so im sure with the holes we can open up he'll score on his runs more often to wear room don't hv to throw so much and plus he's a fit for us because he can handle 30+ carries a game and he seems to get better as the game rolls on so Romo not gonna always have to make all the plays to win... I trust my eyes I think he can fit well with us runs a 4.5 at 247 ight good luck and he always falling fwd wich makes a difference in this nfl gm to

If Henry or Elliott is there in the 2nd, I'll take one of them. Otherwise, I can wait until next year.

Elliot isn't lasting past 10. Henry I think goes to second but may go late first.

I have a crazy 3rd option...draft 1 both years.

I say crazy only because our front office neglected to draft 1 at any point last year despite an obvious need. Instead going with the stability of Joe Randle.

You want to really preserve Romo's health? Draft Elliott or Henry and if you have a chance, draft Cook, Fournette or Chubb if you get the chance next year.
Romo can play til he's 45 handing off to that tandem. :D

I don't think it's viable to plan what you are going to do in the draft a year in advance. Things always happen that nobody can plan for. Players get injured, they get exposed, they unexpectedly go back for their senior year, other holes open up that you never imagined would be there and countless other things can happen with a football team/player year to year.

I can't tell you how many times I've read or heard, "but next years class is loaded at X position" only to see it end up lackluster. You address your holes (present and future holes) as best as you can each season and worry about the next draft class next year. Jmo.

I'm surprised you didn't get more likes.

what about booker from utah this year? 3 down back projected to go by rd 2?

I really like Booker. I think we could get him later than that though. He's got the knee injury that might ding him a little and the big factor is he's going to be 24 years old soon(May 27th). I think that could be a significant factor in how early he goes. I definitely wouldn't be surprised to see him still on the board in the mid-late 3rd.

We seen a RB make SEC defenses look stupid. You may base him on 40 times .I base him on his body of work. And you would lose that bet if you took it.

Thanks for the response I was wondering why no one was talking about him. Didn't realize he was that old.
