Re-distributing the Weight

Usually that's sort of a euphemism for losing fat and gaining muscle, so that you may weigh the same but look different because you have more muscle on you... But Ware was never fat, so I have no idea that this means. Probably nothing. Just a blurb in a blog.

Holy cack chocolatelab, tell me you have a life. Between the volume of posts here and at the Ranch do you have time to go to the bathroom. Are you still moderating over at the wild side?

As far as Ware goes, it is off season and if Ware had a canker sore it would be big news.

Maybe he sat down with Joe Namath and got tips on shape forming panty hose?

By redistributing his weight they mean that he has built his lower body (legs) to match his upper body. He is like a lot of DE's that have a huge upper body and a smaller lower body, similar to the way Charles Haley was built.

By working on his core, or legs and hips, he will be able to be fully balanced as far as weight distribution. Think of a body builder. The guys that do competition have there weight evenly distributed from there upper to lower bodies. There chest and lats are the same width as there quads. Making there bodies balanced with one another. The guys that lose competitions usually are too big up top, and not on bottom, or vice versa.

He was already a freak of nature to begin with, so now that he has done core training all offseason he should be physically superior to almost anybody in the league. Get ready folks........he's going to be a monster this season!!

cowboyed, I think ChocLab is a duty officer at Cheyenne Mountain. As long as North Korea isn't shotting, Choc's got plenty of spare time.

I believe he was talking about adding lower body mass which is concentrated in the gluts, psoas, and thigh muscles. He said he did that without losing speed nor getting stiff. Those muscles help explosion off the line, endurance and help his bull rush. Technically he could get to the QB faster no matter the technique.

Unless the Cowboys do a big preseason push to get the officials to look at game film of his "off sides" penalties last year, I'm not certain explosing will help him as much as it should. Not kidding. Most of those off sides calls were not correct. If the league gets attuned to the fact he is so insanely fast off the ball then he'll get his 20.

He may anyway.

This is an interesting issue - and frankly, one where I felt Wade and Jerry may have fallen flat last year -- after a couple of these, the team needed to be sending film to the league office (which I am positive they did) but more importantly, Wade needed to be in the refs ears pre-game, every game. You send film to the league office showing phantom offsides calls and your coach needs to remind the officials of the issue over and over. That we saw this problem in the playoffs shows that we failed to properly get in the refs ears early enough.
