Re-signing Pollard or a top draft pick

How much sense does it actually make to cut Zeke? I realize he is not living up to his contract but cutting him is a $12 million cap hit.

Is it better to let Pollard walk, get the comp pick for him, draft a running back, and hope one more of Zeke in a new offense revives him?

I’d hate to give Pollard big money and still have to pay Zeke not to play.
It leaves a lot of dead money but less than if you keep him
But over the following couple years it clears a ton of money

I’d cut zeke
Sign pollard
Draft a RB in mid rounds if there’s a guy there
The NFL is loaded with solid RB taken in mid rounds
My main reason for keeping pollard is simply his playmaking ability. There are only a very few real playmakers at RB who can be a threat running or catching the ball

Which would you prefer?

I believe this roster needs newer, younger talent

I would rather draft Bijan than re-sign pollard
Franchise Pollard.

Draft a RB in between rounds 2 and 4.

If they don't retain Pollard or sign an equivalent free agent, then they're basically forcing the 1st round pick to be a RB.
- They can't gamble the entire season on a rookie mid round RB being the starter.
