There is a huge difference between scouting/player acquisition and analytics.

Them losing Andrew Luck reminds me of our team after losing Aikman and the QB carousel the next few years. Rivers and Ryan weren’t bad gambles, you could do worse for a starter. But nothing left in the tank I guess.

That looked like a great up and coming team when Reich first started. They lost it all fast.

This is why I do not buy into the 28 years myth. After players were retiring, leaving via FA in the late 90's, getting older. Irvin is out, yes some poor drafting.
Aikman retires, an aging Emmitt.
Everyone knew there were going to be some down years, 4 or 5 years worth, and it was. Then a 10 year mistake at coaching.

More excuses. 28 years is a fact -we have not truly been in the conversation to either make it or win the SB since then. Always one of Jerry's mistakes is the key reason; usually coaching hires but also his player decisions. In the end the buck stops with Jerry for why the boys are no longer contenders just pretenders.
