Bandwagon fans is they aren't going to shell out the big bucks for the Super Bowl. They are armchair fans who prefer to cheer from the comfort of their living room and only as long as the team is winning.

Really now? Because last time I checked, the economy sucks and people don't just have $5k to throw away to go to a Super Bowl. And what if they lose? Maybe if people were being paid what these players are they could travel around the entire country to support their team.

True the only people going to the SB this year are people who got a gov. bailout recently. :laugh2:

Portions of all sales of the pink jerseys go toward breast cancer awareness.
You can buy a pink jersey, not wear it and still contribute to breast cancer awareness.

Or you could not worry about what somebody else wears.

Once Dallas is "out of the picture" (which unfortunately is again the condition), I instantly kick into "who I want to lose" the most in the playoffs.

That's all it is to me at that point. There's no other reason for watching, as I simply cannot bring myself to root for, like, feel good about, or want any other team to win. THAT wiring is not in my head.

For instance, this year...................the only reason I watch the playoffs is watch 'em fall one-by-one. Once the Eagles are again eliminated, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. What I do, starting with the wild-card round, is make my list of who I dislike the most, and start counting backwards toward the SB.

This year, I enjoyed San Diego losing. Got no use for Atlanta either. Miami losing was fun too, as they're major impostors. I would've enjoyed the Giant loss more, but they lost to the Eagles. And again, the farther the Eagles go and ultimately lose, the sweeter it is.

I also can't "get on board" any "feel goody-goody" stories, Kurt Warner or no Kurt Warner, Arizona or no Arizona. THAT'S the buzz this year, and a lot of folks are like "How can you NOT just love this story and adore Warner?"

Sorry, just can't do it. I'm gonna' watch the SB only to enjoy a Steeler loss, if that happens. But I STILL won't give the Cardinals any cred or props if they win. In my life and mind, they will simply be the latest parity team who "didn't want to lose the most", and the season in general was a waste, one to be forgotten.

It's either Dallas or NOTHING as far as I'm concerned...................

Post of the Freakin' Day.

How did the Dallas Cowboys become "America's Team" while the Cardinals were not even Arizona's team until last month?

Now that was funny. :lmao2:

Good cause, but they need to find another revenue stream. U.G.L.Y

True, but if someone claims to identify themselves as a fan of a certain team, why wear the clothing of another team? Why not just say, "I go wherever the wind blows and put on whatever the teams wear wherever I happen to land"? It would prevent a lot of confusion.

He was a die hard Steelers fan. You bet I have respect for him. I have respect for any fan who understands that die hard is not just a movie or a battery.

I totally expect Steeler fans to dominate Raymond James Stadium on Sunday night. It kills me that Pitt can pick up two championships on the cheap by beating squish teams like Seattle and Arizona.

the sad part is they didn't even beat the Seahawks, the refs did...

Bandwagon fans are casual fans ....

... just the kind that the NFL wants to attract.

(The NFL already has us diehards in their backpocket.)

That's funny cause the superbowl is still sold out and fans have been showing up the week before....

Thank you...............

For the life of me, I just can't understand ANYONE who, once their team is a goner, actually ROOT and CHEER another team on. It doesn't compute with me.

I can understand TOTALLY rooting AGAINST teams, but NEVER FOR another team. It's Dallas vs. the World in my mind. Draw no quarter, take no prisoners, and certainly NEVER ROOT OR HOPE for any other team to win.

In fact, once Dallas is eliminated from any kind of SB run, I really don't give a damn. Could care less, as long as the Eagles NEVER win a SB. That would be about as much passion and giving-a-crap that I'd be able to mustre up; the Eagles losing................

Tampa vs. Oakland? Who cares? Rams vs. Tennessee? You're kidding, right?? Denver vs. Atlanta? Seriously? And on and on.................

The only thing this crap is good for is the last opportunity of the "holiday season" to make some nacho's and drink some beer during the day.

So, at my house this Sunday, we'll be watching Dallas beat the snot out of Buffalo 52-17. You can come over if you want, but don't let on. I gave my wife's mother Buffalo and 30 for $100.00. I'll handle the commercials and stuff.....................I need the money. It'll also be more entertaining for me than having to suffer through a SB with the Cardinals in it.

Take joy in knowing people like this will never enjoy the win as much as true fans of teams will.

I think thats absolutely true, I almost feel sad for those fans who don't love a team enough to stay with it over time. The elation that comes with seeing the team you've loved since childhood win the big games is probably something they never truly feel, in their search for the "high right now".
