Reading on the Eagles forums

That can happen to anyone. But given the choice, would you rather be the 13-3 team? Or the 2nd placed 10-6 team?

Well the entire point to it is the 10-6 team won, so I wouldn’t rather be the loser even if it meant I had a nice 13 win season.

I want the eagles to be in the best position possible for the playoffs. I don’t think that changes a whole lot if they win or lose tomorrow

I heard these two guys talking on a YouTube podcast about who they thought would win Sunday night’s game. I know the argument for a Philly win: Dallas is playing with a backup QB, a depleted WR corps, a rookie at LT, and a defense weak on the run. Playing in an ultra-hostile Lincoln Financial Field, surrounded by thousands of loud, drunk buttholes is no easy task either! But the guy kinda blew his credibility with me when he mentioned Dallas’ “soft” schedule as a reason the Cowboys were in for it. So I thought the Eagles barely beat Detroit, Jacksonville, Chicago and Arizona, but are a “true contender”, a “Super Bowl Team”, and in everyone’s top 3 power rankings. Meanwhile, Dallas beat both of last year’s Super Bowl teams, the 4-1 Giants, and held Goatboy Brady to a single TD and FGs! But Dallas is soft! C’MON!

Eagles could easily have 2 losses, one against the Lions and last week against Cards. The blew out the Football team (who cares) and they have a very solid win against the Vikings.

It shocking to me how quickly people seem to have forgotten the beat downs the Cowboys gave them last year.

IM excited about tomorrow.... and THAT IS WHAT FOOTBALL IS ABOUT. We are excited to watch the game. As I used to tell my softball teams(ad we were always VERY good) the game cant only be fun when you win. EVERYTHING about these games is fun. Waking up in the morning, having my coffee and eggs, listening to fatasy sports radio to check my lineups, watching the early games and letting the anticipation build up for kickoff. I enjoy all of it.

F the iggles all day everyday.

I think they get smoked and the league sees why Hurts isn't worth a $150 million dollar contract.
Isnt this only Hurts 2nd season? He aint getting a new deal.

I agree with you 100% in the overall picture of things. But the Cowboys and Eagles play twice. You don't want to lose to a Cowboys team coming into your place with their backup QB. That's all I'm saying. It's embarrassing.

I like how the Eagles and their fans believe it'll be a cakewalk. :flagwave:
Overconfidence can hurt many teams! It causes them to lose!

Eagles suck. They don’t care about anything but beating the Cowboys and they’ve sucked at that for years.

I would be okay with getting Swept by Dallas, going 13-4 anyways, and then hosting Minnesota at the Linc for round 2
Eagles suck. They also have the worst fans in any sport in any country in the world. Y’all are are just pathetic.

3rd, and he wasn’t a first round pick so next year is the end of his rookie contract.

I hope the Eagles give Hurts a 40M a year extension. That would be fantastic. The second he doesn't have a perfect team around him, back to 2021 Hurts.

I suspect hurts will spend lots of time looking up into the sky.

I think we will win tonight. I think this is a better team than we've had in a long, long time.

But I can understand why their fanbase feels like they do. The Eagles' fans are confident because their team has beaten everyone they've played. Most of their fanbase remembers watching the last Superbowl they've won. Combine that stuff with the fact that the Cowboys are coming in battered and bruised, unable to score, and has a fanbase that seemingly hates its own team.

Of course their fans are riding high and are confident that their Eagles will win. They should be. They should absolutely be soaking in the thoughts of crushing the Cowboys.

But, by the time they go to bed tonight, it'll be different for them. They'll be questioning how good their o-line is. They will really be questioning if Hurts is a long-term solution. Someone on those same confident forums will be talking about tanking for a QB. They will lament the fact that they couldn't get a team that was missing half of its offense off the field. Someone will mention trading Hurts for Rush. All of them will hate the Cowboys...as they should.
