I don't get why people think we are going to get Chad Johnson, Roy Williams, or Anquan Boldin. I just don't see it happening of all the talk we have had about these guys I would be shocked if one is actually traded, plus ends up in Dallas.

If I am wrong I will be just as happy as anyone to add a dynamic playmaker but I just don't see it. Let’s also not forget we had the best offense in the NFC last season it's not like we need some type of MAJOR upgrade or something. All we need really is a decent back-up RB to replace JJ.

Did you see our offense when TO was out?

If you have an opportunity to add a playmaker (Bolden, RW), you do it. After TO, our wideouts scream mediocrity.

I understand you can't predict injuries, However it didn't look to bad in my eyes when TO WAS healthy plus Glenn missed the whole season. He will be on the team next year as well unless he re-injures himself and I'm not even counting on Glenn he is strickly a bonus if he preforms great we have a solid #2 WR if not I'll take my chances with the offense we had last season.

Here's what I think is likely to happen over the next month.

1. We sign PacMan as our 3rd CB. If PacMan isn't reinstated before the Draft, we will give a conditional 2009 draft pick. Otherwise, I think we'll end up giving a 5th rounder this year (assuming he's reinstated before the draft).

2. JJ is going to pull off a trade with the Lions/Bengals for either R Williams or C Johnson with our 28th overall pick. There's no WR in this year's draft who could give us the immediate result that R Williams/C Johnson can. I truly believe that JJ wants to have one more big threat opposite TO. He wanted J Walker, we now know that. He's going to pull off a trade for a WR one way or another, IMO.

3. With our 22nd overall pick, if either Cromartie, McKelvin, Talib, or Jenkins are available, we'll take a CB. (Personally, I'd just as happily take Cason at 22, but that's me.) If not, I think we'll prefer to trade back (end of Round 1/early Round 2), or else we'll take Stewart, if there's no trading partner. In that order . . . .

4. I really do believe that we will draft a FB once again this year. RED was a QB on the Cowboys when we had Moose playing. He wants the FB to be able to block and catch and be more of a weapon. Cricket stays, but I think we bring on board one more all purpose FB this Draft to rotate and compete with Cricket. The FB position will be a weapon once again. (Think of it, 2 stud WRs, top TE in the game, likely 2 top RBs. Now add in the FB who can also contribute to the passing game. Every player outside of the OL has to be accounted for.)

5. Finally, I think we draft a NT this year. Why? Spears is likely gone after this season, and ideally Ratliff takes his spot in 2009. That means we need someone to groom this year to take Ratliff's spot. It often takes interior DL a year or two to get used to the NFL. JJ will be thinking ahead and will draft a guy this year.

This does mean that there's no DMAC for us. JJ is going to use one of the 1st Rounders for a veteran WR instead.

I think this is the most likely scenario.

1. Funny how Pac's standing was going to be reviewed before training camp and now he is likely to be reinstated BEFORE the draft. This tells me Jerry has talked with Roger and this deal is now done. I will be very surprised if this trade is not announced in the next week, 2 max.

2. Agree on the vet wide, but I am thinking it is probably going to take the 22nd pick and not the 28th. My best guess is Roy and then Boldin, tight arse Bengals are not going to eat $9 mill by trading Chad, not going to happen.

3. CB with 28th (even with Pac, afterall he is one lap dance from a lifetime ban).

4. I think we stay with Cricket, dont think we carry 2 FBs on active roster.

5. I agree we need some depth on D-line. Spears (aka bust) is gone after this year, so Rat will slide over and Tank will be the starter. We need a good backup NT or possible replacement for Tank if he doesnt resign with us.

This is gonna be fun to watch!!!

That's because you ain't right........I also think it was a great post but for some reason I see Spears hanging around - not that I want him to mind you, but I do......

Also, I don't see Johnson coming to Dallas, but I can see another Roy Williams on the team.

I'm 50% positive of this.

I'm with you...I'd rather see Roy 11 than Chad. We have done a pretty good job with guys like TO, Tank, and I think we'd do fine with Pacman since he's so young, but when does it become too much...at what point in time do you say enough? Chad and TO would be awsome if they could both be happy, but to be honest, I think Chad has lost some of his game in the past two years...Whosyourmama has been a better WR, in my eyes.

Chad makes me nervous...but then I was also totally against bringing in TO and that worked out okay....who knows?
