Really- what has McFadden SHOWN since he came into the NFL. Remember all the hype about Reggie Bush? Frankly I would not put McFadden in the top 20 either.

Showing stats of what they did does not indicate the talent level of a running back. McFadden played on the freaking Raiders.

Anyone who would take Tashard Choice over Darren McFadden is nuts.

Didn't Justin Fargas run for 1000+ yards two years ago on the "freaking raiders"?

Choice played on the freaking Cowboys, we aren't exactly a running team over here.

Barber did average something like 3.9 YPC on an offense that supposedly has 3 probowl linemen. They probably deducted him for that.

it's still higher then Beanie Wells NFL YPC :laugh2:

Cool glad to see this, it just hands our guys one more challenge to prove their critics wrong. Getting snubbed is not always a bad thing

How can you have McFadden on the list and not Larry Johnson?

How do you put Beanie Wells on the list and not Felix Jones?

Who cares?

Has anyone taken into consideration that this might be a list for fantasy backs? If so it all makes a lot more sense...

Not really...Barber is considered a top 10 Fantasy back by pretty much all Fantasy writers.

You can have him; he won't be one this year with two other RB's in the stables. You all are as simpleton as they come if stuff like this really bothers you, the Cowboys deserve absolutely no respect from anyone after the way we played last year. Right now we aren't even the best team in our division, maybe not even the second best team.

I can't believe nobody else has complained about Jacobs being #3. There is zero chance that loud mouth is a top 3 back in the NFL.

Since this list is doo-doo, I decided I'll make a much better one off the top of my head.

1. Adrian Peterson - Best back in football, hands down, durability may be an issue later in his career.

2. Brian Westbrook - Still one of the most dangerous backs in the game, his pass catching ability makes him extremely dynamic and tough to defend.

3. Clinton Portis - He's gotten it done. He may be a total moron but he's played through injuries and always seemed to produce.

4. Michael Turner - Great 08 season, only going to get better.

5. Marshawn Lynch - Would be # 1 for ugliest, but he's a beast - and he's produced in a pretty crappy environment. Owens/Evans should help keep defenses from keying in on him as much.

6. Matt Forte - Complete lack of a passing game made his rookie campaign that much more impressive. Can catch the ball as well. He'll get even better with Cutler in the picture.

7. Marion Barber - Would be higher on this list, but the presence of Felix and TC are going to make his stats go down. There isn't a tougher back in the game to bring down. He is a workout warrior, so he won't wear down quite as fast as we think.

8. Deangelo Williams - Bounced back in 08, has incredible burst, and had a great statistical season despite splitting carries with Stewart.

9. Frank Gore - Emerged as a elite back, and hascarried a sub-par 49ers team. He's a great receiver out the backfield as well.

10. Steven Jackson - I have always seen him as being extremely overrated, his team isn't going to get any better, so he won't either. That said, he'll have a solid statistical season but don't expect another 2006 campaign.

11. Ladanian Tomlinson - I think the end of the road is near for the former clear cut #1 guy. Injuries are taking their toll, and he just doesn't look like the same back.

12. Maurice Jones-Drew - I like the guy, he's tough to bring down and always seems to make plays wether he's coming out the backfield or on special teams.

13. Chris Johnson - The guy has incredible top end speed, he was in a good situation in Tenn - but there isn't another back that is as explosive.

14. Brandon Jacobs - There isn't another player in the league I hate more. Think he runs like a ***** for someone that big, and he never seems to stop running his mouth.

15. Reggie Bush - He may be all hype, but at least he's got Kim Kardashian. Durability is still a question mark, but he's a special player - especially in that wide open offense.

16. Ronnie Brown - Wildcatz!!!1

17. Larry Johnson - Won't be on any list by this time next year, he may have a little left in the tank. Total crybaby too.

18. Willie Parker - Fast Willie always seems to be there when it counts, can't argue against a winner. When healthy he's great.

19. Ryan Grant - Still can't decide if his breaout season was a fluke or not, he's got a good passing game to take pressure off him in GB - so the jury is still out.

20. Steve Slaton - He was an absolute steal, Texans got lucky nabbing this guy in the 5th. Could've been higher on my list.

This stuff does not bother me...just telling it how it is. At least with current 2009 Fantasy ratings, Barber is generally top 10--down from top 7-8 last season because guys like CJ, D Williams, and Slaton have moved up.
NFL.com and CBS Sportline have Barber ranked 11th overall (all positions) for fantasy....just some trivia.

Man, I hope you aren't directing that "simpleton" comment this way.

More trivia. Both sources have Romo as the #7 QB in fantasy.
