With the inability to stop the run or ability to run the ball, what is the realistic expectations for this team? Dak bias aside, very rarely do you see teams that are one dimensional (Dak to lamb) have success in the playoffs. When you play good teams they take away your best option (SF/Bills) game. Teams rarely win multiple playoff games when your qb has to throw for 300+ in order to win multiple games. I just don’t see this team as multiple playoff game because we lack where it really matters. I think one playoff win is a success no matter what your standards are for this team. They have major holes in at key positions that it takes to win playoff games (oline). Just my own personal opinion

There’s only one team in the NFC that is better than Dallas and that’s SF. There is no excuse for not making the NFCCG
I agree, but with injuries, penalties, turnovers and bad clock management anything can happen.

The offensive pre-snap penalties need to stop. Especially at home games.

I had lower expectations with the 5th seed.
Now that we control our destiny to get the 2 seed and home games my expectations have gone up. There’s no reason we can’t make it to the NFCCG.

We have issues but the Cowboys are a different team at home.

I think we make the Championship, our road to there seems pretty easy until we meet the 49ers. If I knew how those betting sites worked, I'd place money on us making the championship game

The path to the nfc championship game got easier if we acquire the 2 seed ( we still have yet to do that) but it’s not a guarantee, we have to earn it. The Seahawks game was close, the lions game was close- in the nfl and the playoffs especially anything can happen and we have to go out there and earn the 2 seed and win against 2 familiar opponents….easier said than done.

My semi realistic goal all year was the championship game at minimum but understood another divisional round loss to a very good team like San Fran or Philly (when they were humming) wouldn’t be embarrassing unless we were blatantly outplayed. I’ll keep my goals the same with this new path - but a wild card loss would be a huge huge indefensible setback Imo.

Edit; rams look likely now too….everything applies to them as well and they are better now than earlier in the year

This is not a championship caliber team and we are extremely deficient at linebacker, d line, run blocking, and at running the ball. I still continue to believe
Dak will ever win anything beyond the first round. He collapses in big games. So we may win the wild card game but I am not even banking on that.
