We know what defense dak hates to face. we know we can't do the same thing otherwise we'll get the same results
We have to get Dak out of the pocket. He's been doing well all year when he scrambles. So , just make it a series of plays and block for it.
It's our only path to the big dance. Quinn will show up with his playoff defense holding teams to 20 or less, it's up to the offense to score 21+ it's that simple
Right now we need to focus on Washington as they'll be trying to win Riveras last game and will throw the playbook at us. We may not show up.
Dak needs to run the ball in those situations. You can't let a defense get comfortable and dictate to the offense. Every defense has a weakness, however do we have the personnel to take advantage of their weaknesses.

If a defense is taking away your strength and giving you something else and you can't take advantage of it, then they are clearly the better team.

Like I said, anything less than NFCCG is a choke job failure. No excuses.
So a team that can't run the ball and unable to stop the run is expected to make it to the NFCCG or else they're considered chokers???

That's totally a pile of BS to the highest degree.

Ok cool, name another team in history without a run game and without a defense who can stop the run, that made it to the NFCCG or was labeled chokers if they didn't.....

I'll wait....

They are clearly better than the Rams, GB, Seattle , Philly, and about even with Det. If you can’t see that can’t help you.

This thread went sideways really fast.

Realistic, the niners are light years ahead of us at this stage. They run the ball, the stop the run and everything else in between. Our offense has been stopped for 3 games so any team listed can beat us right now. Realistically let’s win one playoff game and then go from there.

NFC championship game or bust. Fully expect them to make it and play SF. Now from there it’s anyone’s guess on which Cowboys team shows up. The one that has beat 4 of 6 playoff teams or the one that has 10 penalties and shoots themselves in the foot?

There is no way SF and Dallas are about even. SF is simply superior at almost every position.
You guys have ever since day one of the off season. How ever and whatever is used to despair and complain....no where owns up that with the win on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys will be the 2nd best team then, in the NFC. Go cry on one's own time...finally just support them. That applies to everyone.

If Dallas holds on to #2, anything less than the championship game is a failure.
Fully in expectation here and now. Philadelphia and then San Francisco.....you bet, let's go. Not a Coward here... :starspin:

Now that we know we won the division (confirmation here) and are the 2 seed I expect them to play in the NFC Championship Game.

When your path only involves playing at home in a season of historic dominance at home anything less is unacceptable.

Cowboys! in your face.

However, the Cowboys still have work to do as they will travel to Washington next week one year after suffering a brutal 26-6 loss at the hands of the Commanders while also being in the midst of a season that has seen them struggle mightily on the road – owning a sub-par 3-5 record away from AT&T Stadium in 2023.

With a win, the Cowboys can secure their 22nd NFC East title and the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs. That would set up a wild card round playoff game against the No. 7 seed in the NFC and a potential home game in the divisional round with a wild card round win.

If the Cowboys win the division, it would extend the streak of non-repeat champions in the NFC East to 19 seasons – the longest such streak in NFL history and the longest active streak for any division in the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL.

Game times have not yet been set for Week 18 as the Cowboys will await the time and date for their matchup against the Commanders which is expected to come from the NFL either late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

I don't have any expectations, I feel like anything can happen the way the offensive line is playing right now.

They can't open any lanes in the run game and the pass protection has been very leaky in recent weeks as well.

The Cowboys have scored 10, 20 and 20 in their last three games. It's BROKEN, we might eek out a home win but we are going to get destroyed after that. This is not a super bowl team and we all know it.

The Cowboys defense anticipated a gameplan from Detroit to rely on the run and not let the Dallas pass rush get active, but the Cowboys were able to limit the run game and get to Jared Goff in the win. "That's what it's really about, getting back on track," Lawrence said in the locker room postgame. "With a win, the confidence grows. We're just running and hitting and having fun with our brotherhood."

"We kind of knew what they wanted to come into [the game]," Parsons said. "They didn't really want us to pass rush. I had been hearing all week they got the best tackles. It shows us how good we can be when we hone in on our keys and do what we need to do." "Trusting it into the gameplan that we designed throughout the week," Lawrence said. "The calls lead us to go make plays, we just have to go out there and do it."

The win puts the Cowboys back on track at 11-5 with one game left in the regular season next week at Washington. With the confidence of the team's 16th consecutive home win in hand over an NFC contender that they could see in January, the momentum moving forward has the Cowboys looking for their second five-game winning streak of the season – one that would see them hoisting the trophy in Las Vegas at season's end. "Wins are crucial and it's hard to win, no matter who you go against," Parsons said. "It's any given Saturday or Sunday at this point. It's crucial that we get the win and create some momentum going into the playoffs." "I think we're really, really freaking close. But there's always room to get better. We're not perfect. At the end of the day, it's all about heart, dedication and what you put into it."

C'mon, the past two games...with Miami and Detroit, both lost TD's by Dallas with mistakes within the 5 yard lines on opening drives....
