Realistic Playoff Expectations

There’s only one team in the NFC that is better than Dallas and that’s SF. There is no excuse for not making the NFCCG
So as you said.

We get 5th seed.
SF gets 1st seed

We win first game.
Then go to SF who as you said is better. Then no NFCCG unless we beat SF

So there is one excuse?

I agree, but with injuries, penalties, turnovers and bad clock management anything can happen.

The offensive pre-snap penalties need to stop. Especially at home games.
We only had two, not that bad if you ask me.

There were three occasions in which CeeDee had only four receptions and the Cowboys won.

The combined point margin for those three games was 110 points, an average of 36.,6 points a game. Put another way, the Cowboys scored over 35 points more than their opponents in those three games with CeeDee catching 4 passes in each game for an average of 55 yards.

CeeDee's 122 receptions represent 31% of all Cowboys receptions this season so it's not like he's the lone Ranger out there. Clearly, there are other options and when opponents make the mistake of giving CeeDee too much extra attention at the expense of less attention elsewhere, that "elsewhere" can make them pay.

If we played SF 10 times we would be lucky to win 3 in my opinion
What makes you think we can win one? Hasn’t been done yet and Dak shows up like deer in head lights. Defense has done their part and most likely it time for San Fran to dominate them. Dak will never have a better opportunity than what he had last year 19 pts?

You're a broke record.

If they win next Sunday they get the #2 seed and it looks like the play the Packers at home. Then they get the next game at home too. I could very well be the Lions again. The Lions are angry at Dallas for some reason but that will wear off somewhat after the Lions play two games. Plus, if the play the Rams, I am not sure the Lions beat the Rams.

First they have to beat the Commanders on the road and on grass.

The Cowboys can win one…maybe even two playoffs games if they’re lucky. But, even if Hell rains fire upon vastly-superior SF in the NFCCG to the benefit of the Texas visitors, the Ravens would embarrass DAL in a Super Bowl meeting.

We’re a savvy year & and a couple of chess pieces away yet, from taking down the big boys.

SF is the only team that is simply better than us as far as coaching and player personnel.

if we have to lose in the SB, oh well

I’m with you. Progress, improvement & pushing forward should be encouraged. I just don’t see this being the year to dominate the League, absent a miracle...of which we’ve not yet seen a sign.

This is a good team but I don't trust them situationally in a close game against a good team

Even yesterday's game was a mess at the end

We know what defense dak hates to face. we know we can't do the same thing otherwise we'll get the same results
We have to get Dak out of the pocket. He's been doing well all year when he scrambles. So , just make it a series of plays and block for it.
It's our only path to the big dance. Quinn will show up with his playoff defense holding teams to 20 or less, it's up to the offense to score 21+ it's that simple
Right now we need to focus on Washington as they'll be trying to win Riveras last game and will throw the playbook at us. We may not show up.
