Not our esteemed leader @Reality , but our reality as fans. The reality is that we are injury riddled, trying to put in a system on the fly, players and coaches having to learn one another.

OL is hurting! Defense is pretty pathetic, STs is trying to hard. Too many former head coaches as assistants, they are knowledgeable, but don't take time to teach the little things and technique.
We have many issues, BUT, we are gonna win the East and will be that team that nobody wants to play in the playoffs!
Go Cowboys!

Don't hold your breath.

Not saying they won't get better, but they've got a long ways to go to be a team "nobody" wants to play in the playoffs...

I’m not one to lose confidence in a coach in a quick, reactionary way and I know COVID should make this stance even more steadfast but......

the first four games coupled with Nolan’s last tenure in ATL as DC have me REALLY wondering if this guy can get the job done.

Remember last week Jaylon felt compelled to mention to the press that the scheme was too complicated and needed to be simplified. I didn’t think that story got enough play considering we were, at the time, only three games into the season and one of the leaders of the defense is making a public critical comment about the new DC to the media.

I read that we gave up 185 yards before contact yesterday.

185 yards...

That stat really makes me wonder if these players believe in this defensive scheme.

wow like the avatar change and the attitude!!

I agree......

Fans expectations were far ahead of reality's. the let down is all ours MM will figure it out..

Stop the bleeding and drop Nolan now. Hire a 4-3 DC, even if he plays a simple scheme. At this point we aren’t getting better each week. I don’t think these players want to learn this scheme. Already hearing players talk about making it simpler. Jaylon is totally lost. Players aren’t even trying.

I don't see 5 wins on their schedule the way they are playing. I don;t see 3 wins on their schedule. The sad part is they will have a high draft picks this year and without a college season they will have no idea who to pick.

OP is correct. No off season has made everything more difficult and when you throw in the injuries and a terrible defense things can’t go well.

Yeah, and the sun was in their eyes.

Everyone had no offseason. Cleveland changed their coaching staff just like Dallas and so did Carolina. The 3-1 Browns look like a competently-run organization compared to the Cowboys (which is amazing in a bad way). The Panthers have won back-to-back games without McCaffrey and with the youngest defense in the NFL.

Meanwhile, the circus is in town at Jerry's big top with turnovers and big plays aplenty. The first team to 40 wins.

We have plenty of talent. Putting in new systems and bringing in a completely new staff is hard and pretty impossible without a proper off season. Factor in the changes because of injury......I get it. Most won't understand.
