Reality Sucks!

We'll have ET, LVE, Lee and Snacks in a few weeks.

Ain't happening. Had their chances to have ET and Snacks, didn't sign either.

LVE and Lee aren't due back for at least 3 more weeks. By that time it'll be too late, if the Cowboys don't win at least 2 of those 3, and realistically they need to win all 3.

And that's assuming it is only 3 more weeks, that's the 6 weeks of LVE's "6-8 weeks" timeline, could easily be 5 more weeks.

Lee is a shell of his previous self, at best he provides leadership and some play diagnosing, that will help but I doubt it's enough....

I’m not one to lose confidence in a coach in a quick, reactionary way and I know COVID should make this stance even more steadfast but......

the first four games coupled with Nolan’s last tenure in ATL as DC have me REALLY wondering if this guy can get the job done.

Remember last week Jaylon felt compelled to mention to the press that the scheme was too complicated and needed to be simplified. I didn’t think that story got enough play considering we were, at the time, only three games into the season and one of the leaders of the defense is making a public critical comment about the new DC to the media.

I read that we gave up 185 yards before contact yesterday.

185 yards...

That stat really makes me wonder if these players believe in this defensive scheme.

Dude, you are playing in the NFL, defensive schemes ARE COMPLICATED. Simple defenses get blown up/

If you ain't smart enough to understand the defense, then go to special teams and let somebody football smarter take your place....

I don't see 5 wins on their schedule the way they are playing. I don;t see 3 wins on their schedule. The sad part is they will have a high draft picks this year and without a college season they will have no idea who to pick.

Plenty of college seniors who've had very good junior years, no fall college season is no excuse, think Belichek won't find a top player to draft?

Not our esteemed leader @Reality , but our reality as fans. The reality is that we are injury riddled, trying to put in a system on the fly, players and coaches having to learn one another.

OL is hurting! Defense is pretty pathetic, STs is trying to hard. Too many former head coaches as assistants, they are knowledgeable, but don't take time to teach the little things and technique.
We have many issues, BUT, we are gonna win the East and will be that team that nobody wants to play in the playoffs!

Well, that's a tough one. I think the need to stay the course. They are a month in and may need to just twerk a few things.

Love the optimism and that’s why the games are played. There is a good chance we may have lost out on Snacks he is visiting the Seahawks this week. I’m all for them signing ET

And LVE wasn’t doing much last year before his injury, Snacks will most likely be better than Poe and Lee will be helpful if he can stay healthy. None of those guys will be enough to make a huge difference IMO.

We heard the same things about Poe, Griffen and Ha Ha. Every year people talk about how much better we’ll be with so and so, it never works out that way and then they just start throwing out more names. This year fans were begging for Jerry to get Griffen and praised him when he finally did, Griffen was supposed to be a huge upgrade to Quinn and he’s been disappointing to say the least. Poe was supposed to be an upgrade to Collins, same result. Jones was allegedly over rated and now we’re getting torched on both sides of the field instead of just one. After the first game, zeke was supposed to be looking better than he has since ‘16 and he’s having a horrendous year.

I just don’t think there are enough FA’s to make this defense “that” much better. Funny how there are 31 other teams that didn’t get Griffen and now we know why. The same can be most likely be said about Snacks, no other team has got him and we’re a month into the season. He would probably be an upgrade and it couldn’t hurt but I strongly doubt he will solve our problems, same can be said about the others.

We have plenty of talent. Putting in new systems and bringing in a completely new staff is hard and pretty impossible without a proper off season. Factor in the changes because of injury......I get it. Most won't understand.

Had Mike called plays and installed his offense this whole thing could have been uglier.

This is the biggest myth about the NFL playoffs. Anything usually does not happen in the playoffs. It usually holds to form way more often than not. There are upsets in the wild card round but after that, form usually holds. And to be a team that makes a run as an underdog, needs their defense to stand up and make plays. We have no defense to speak of. And you are playing great teams in the playoffs. We won't be playing Atlanta and the Browns.
