That's why it doesn't matter to me what happens with the HC and QB. Jerry had Romo and wasted numerous HOF players careers. People around here have soured on Dak and Parsons, it's literally the same narrative about Romo and Ware. Remember how Ware "disappeared" in games and Romo "choked" when in reality those guys had average players around them. Ware never played with another All-pro on the defense.

But their defensive ranking - I don't even know what they are #2 in, and it doesn't matter - is just inflated by their schedule. Burrow and Cousins had very little problem throwing the ball against them. The defense is also entirely dependent on Chris Jones being the best defensive player in the league but he's a) 30 and b) only on a 7.3m cap hit this year.

Not true. They now have the replacement in place in Karlaftis who had 10.5 sacks last year. Their D ranked 2nd in the league in sacks. They were also 2nd in points allowed. They are stacked on D w/ players such as Omenihu, McDuffie, Justin Reid, Mike Danna, Nnadi, and a host of other high quality D players leading the charge. Their DLine is ranked #1 in the league. Their OLine is ranked 4th.

No it doesn't. It refers to drafting and spending. On D they've spent several high picks as well as signing McDuffie, Reid, and Tranquil. It's not about how much you spend.

That is not necessarily true. It's very rare to find a Chris Jones, so when he is done, Karlaftis is Chris Jones light. They'll prolly have to get better DE's at that point.
