Really, the Cowboys are 8-0 with a healthy Romo

Think about it...

Against San Francisco, he obviously wasn't healthy at all and it was his only bad game of the year.

He got hurt in the middle of the Washington game and really shouldn't have played on the final drive.

And then he missed the Arizona game.

Those are our three losses. And we were still in every one of those games.

In games where Romo has played and been healthy, we are 8-0. If Romo was fully healthy all season, what would our record be? 9-2? 10-1? .......... 11-0?

I have no doubt we'd have beaten Arizona and San Fran with a fully healthy Romo. But not Washington. They straight up out gameplanned the Cowboys, and when Romo was in there he and Linehan made no adjustments to the protection and basically just got sacked every time it was 3rd down. I think they'd have lost that game even if Romo never went out of it.

The Cowboys are 8-3 with or without Romo and that is all that matters. I get your point but at the end of the day it really does not matter. Romo started and finished the games against the 49ers and Commanders so no pass from me. You step on the field you better be in a position to help the team win. The Cowboys should have been more competitive against the Cardinals regardless if Romo played.

The Commanders were smacking us in the mouth before Romo got hurt. Admit it. Of course, Murray fumbling away points is what probably cost us the game.

I agree. Assuming we had a healthy Romo, we'd be 10-1. The Commanders game is that let-down game every team tends to have in a given season (unless you're the 2007 Patriots or 1973 Dolphins). The Skins had the scheme to be us, and we seem pretty lethargic.

With respect to the San Francisco game, I think what went unnoticed about that game (understandably so) is that we were running pretty well until the turnover (can't remember whether it was a fumble or an interception). With a healthy running game and a healthy Romo, I think we could have won that game.

I know your record is what your record is, but my point just being that with our QB fully healthy, we are undefeated. Just saying, that's a point that should at least be brought up.

That said, I think we lose to Washington either way as well.

No one has a crystal ball.
We simply do not know if we win those games with a health Romo.

This is insane. You don't take losses aways just like you don't take wins away. If you want to play that game you can argue we could've lost to the Giants if Eli doesn't overthrow Parker. Or we could've lost to the Rams if they didn't give up a 21 point lead and if Jared Cook didn't drop a touchdown. You can't do that game to take away losses and not factor in what happened in some of our wins. The Cowboys are 8-3 and its where they should be.

How on earth could anyone even consider that 9ers game not a loss? Romo was rusty. It would've been nice if he had faced the Jags or someone but he was rusty and the Cowboys as a team were just starting to learn to play with each other. They should be 8-3. Everyone wants Weeden cut but believes he would've beat the Deadskins if he had stayed in......

Again I get what you are saying. The reality is Romo was hurt and the Cowboys are 8-3 but they are still in a great position for the postseason. More importantly they still have Romo.

Eagles and Cardinals have it worse but I do not feel bad for them. Doubt they feel bad for us as well.

The Cowboys are 8-3 and I'm happy with that to this point.

Hard to complain after the last few years. Here we are at Thanksgiving and we talk of winning the division and seeding when prior years it was "how can we sneak into a wildcard spot."

Yes, the Cowboys were having problems in that game before Romo was injured.

A healthy Romo makes this the most potent O in the NFC given the OL/running gam, maybe the league. If Romo stays healthy and the D keeps playing solid, this could go deep but hope we aren't kneecapped due to tie breakers if we happen to split the Eagles. We have the more talented team overall and really should control the 1st game with Sanchez's limitations.
