Really, the Cowboys are 8-0 with a healthy Romo

I know your record is what your record is, but my point just being that with our QB fully healthy, we are undefeated. Just saying, that's a point that should at least be brought up.

That said, I think we lose to Washington either way as well.

It shouldn't be brought up at all, every team has had major pieces out that has caused them to lose ball games, no excuses and no passes.

I hate to play the "what if" game, but if DeMarco Murray doesn't fumble at the Commanders' 8 yard line at the end of a 34 yard catch in the first half, that is a different game. Even if Dallas only kicked a field goal, they would have won; Romo or no Romo.

But I do agree this is a different team with Romo healthy.

Question, what is his health now compared to the SF game? I don't think that game was as much of a health issue as it was rust. I mean you could say now he may be more dinged up than then because of the injury against the Skins. His back is all kinds of messed up from the past few seasons.

And really, you can't blame the Skins game on injury. With Romo in for over half the game, this offense looked bad. Didn't help with the Murray fumble but Romo and the offense was not on point that game even before the injury.

But to your point, yes, this team is definitely better with Romo in. We have no quality backup. If Romo goes down, we won't win another game. Weeden is that bad.

It's important. They nearly looked past the Giants also. They have to stop doing that.

How do you know this? Just because it was a close game they looked past them? Makes no sense. It's a divisional road game. Giants always play us tough no matter what. Were you really expecting a blow out because of the records?

And how would they be looking past a game they had 2 weeks to look forward to?

Come on. They had no answer in the first half. I'll give them credit for making some good halftime adjustments. They did what they failed to do against the Skins, but that game was in danger of getting away from them.

I'm all for worrying about if it happens going forward.

I don't care about what happened yesterday let alone weeks ago.

Learn from history or repeat it. It's a good sign that they were able to make some adjustments to win this last game, but we were shaky in the first half.

Romo has played possibly his best football this season despite his back. The Cowboys record wouldn't be any better if he was 100% healthy as a matter of fact it might not be as good because the Cowboys might have had him do more had it not been for his back. This season Romo has been as efficient as I've ever seen him with a passer rating of 111.4. His back condition made the Cowboys even more determined to run the ball entering the season. It's been the running game that's made Romo a better QB in 2014. His only bad game of the season vs SF was due to him being rusty from not having a normal offseason having to rehab his back. The Cowboys were very cautious with him holding him out of practices during training camp and he didn't get much game action during the preseason and wasn't sharp vs SF. The loss to Washington was due to a poor defensive performance that saw countless miss tackles.

The defense allowed Colt McCoy an average QB to have a career game. The Cowboys offense had issues with the blitz and not even a 100% healthy Romo could have avoided the 5 sacks he took. The Cowboys are lucky to have lost only 2 games with Romo. They had to overcome a franchise record tying 21 point deficit to St Louis to pull that game out. In previous seasons even with a 100% healthy Romo the Cowboys would have lost that game. The Cowboys had to overcome a 10 point deficit at Seattle including overcoming 2 turnovers and a blocked punt against them for a TD to pull that game out. That was another game that the Cowboys would have lost in previous seasons even with a 100% healthy Romo.

On Sunday night the Cowboys had to overcome an 11 point deficit and did so with a solid running game and efficient play by Romo who finished the game with a passer rating of 143.4. Romo seems to play his best football when he has some sort of ailment. His decision making seems to be better and he's pulled off some of his best plays when not 100% healthy. A few years ago he made a great throw to Jesse Holley vs SF with a cracked rib and a punctured lung to help pull that game out in OT. Earlier this season he escaped the grasp of JJ Watt who's been the defensive player of the year to throw a TD that helped beat Houston. Maybe it's better Romo isn't 100% healthy because he's played the best football of his career this season at least so far.

Yes they were. They adjusted and they won.

I was thrilled about that.

I'm now onto the Eagles and hoping I see this team put it together against them.

Ok but what does have to do with looking past them? So any game that is not a blow out, we are looking past that team? Your logic makes no sense.

Romo was healthy for a bulk of the Washington game.

We simply were not prepared for them. We looked flat and appeared to be getting out schemed. Then we made adjustments and Eli came back to Earth. But we were close to getting run out of there in the first half. Even after that, if Eli doesn't miss a wide, wide open receiver we probably lose.

I have no doubt we'd have beaten Arizona and San Fran with a fully healthy Romo. But not Washington. They straight up out gameplanned the Cowboys, and when Romo was in there he and Linehan made no adjustments to the protection and basically just got sacked every time it was 3rd down. I think they'd have lost that game even if Romo never went out of it.

We were due for a loss. They outplayed us period.
