I just looked and JuJu is 56th in the consensus big boards. Scouting reports reqs he’ll be highly coveted in a zone heavy scheme which fits us to a T.

Think he’d be a great pick in the 2nd.

Either would be good but Forbes would give us a lot of relief financially going forward.

If Diggs tries to set the CB market it could give us the option to trade him too.

Right now Diggs can ask Dallas for any number he wants and the Jones’s are always down to do a stupid deal for a solid player on our current roster.

They are my top two choices but I have come over to the dark side. I want Forbes. Forbes to me is Sauce Gardener with ball skills. McDonald is Randy Gregory without the weed issue. I like Sauce better then weed.

I vote McDonald. All things being equal, Ill always favor the rusher. Plus we have two guys in Diggs and Bland that should be here long term. Pass rush depth gets very very thin after 2023

I don't think you're going to miss on either.

Will McDonald broke Iowa State's sack record twice while playing out of position, and Forbes owns the NCAA record for most career pick-sixes. Then they both lit up the Combine. They're total studs, and size is the only question you can hold against them.

Between the two, McDonald concerns me less, because we've seen Dan Quinn use 240, 250 lb speed rushers effectively a million times. Parsons is around that weight right now, and Randy Gregory was too. There's a key spot in Quinn's scheme for Will McDonald shaped athletes.

Forbes is a tougher sell, because Quinn likes big corners. He has the length Quinn covets, but it's weirdly matched to very literally the skinniest CB build ever. On Mock Draftable, Forbes has 70th percentile height, 92nd percentile wingspan, 78th percentile arm length, and 0th percentile weight. I don't even know how that's possible. Quinn usually likes his corners to be pushing 200 lbs, and Forbes weighed in at 166.

His ball hawking play style fits our defense, but is that weight going to be a dealbreaker for a coach who loves using thresholds to find CBs? It's at least a question I have. There's no doubts I have with McDonald.

his anticipation and ball skills are next level elite, but where he will struggle is tackling and shedding when he has to. He will need to learn all that and gain some weight.

Yes. He has a bad attitude. Not everyone’s cup of tea. I was hoping Kelvin Joseph could be Ike him as a player.

I honestly like both players a lot.

I feel like Forbes, right now, can cover WR’s. Put him on the field, point to a guy and tell him “Don’t let that guy catch the ball” and he could do that. Forbes is such a natural cornerback… he already does a whole lot of what Quinn will want him to do in the secondary. It is a big reason that I like Forbes so much. His instincts for playing the position are just what you want.

That is what Forbes does… he harasses receivers at the catch point and, often, gets his hands on the ball. His length and speed really helps him do that. Being thin doesn’t hamper him much from being a pain in the *** for receivers.

McDonald, while also being a natural pass rusher, will probably need more work to consistently get through NFL tackles. I think he will contribute as a rookie, and he will be a good one… but he’s just not as pro ready as Forbes, IMO, who can cover like a Mo Fo.

Both players have strong college production, tested out as elite athletes, but lack NFL playing weight:

-13 sacks as a Junior playing out of position. He isn't like Sam Williams, where his learning curve shouldn't be as steep.
-14 interceptions, 6 pick six in the SEC, are you kidding me. Crazy ball production and team's avoided throwing the ball at him.

Yes, one is 240, the other is 170 lbs. In my opinion, both are future stars in this league and hoping one falls to 26.

I don't know the answer.

My gut feeling is that a player rated by the media as a top 20 type will drop to the Cowboys and they'll take that player regardless of position.

Both Forbes and McDonald are interesting in that they have larger wingspans than expected for "undersized" players.
- Forbes has a larger wingspan than 3 of the top 4 CBs.
- McDonald has the very long arms that Dan Quinn loves (34-7/8").

McDonald's weight (240) is not that far outside other early NFL draft picks at his position.
- Randy Gregory 235
- Micah Parson 246
- TJ Watt 252

Darrell Green's NFL listing is 5-9, 184.

Pacman 5'9-1/2", 187 (combine).

Nahshon Wright was only 183, despite being 6-4.
- He also has a smaller wingspan than Forbes (77-7/8 vs 79).
