Again.....you never know before the season gets under way HOW TOUGH the schedule is...or isn't.

Have we not seen teams that are 3-13 go to 13-3 the next year and vice-versa?

Too many people get caught up in the schedule as soon as it comes out.

I'm looking at 16-0...just like every year. The players do to.....nobody can tell me that they go into each week with an "L" on their mind. They go into each week thinking "W". You do that each week, guess what....you are thinking 16-0. But they'll never admit it.

Very true. What looks tough today may not be as tough as you thought no way of really knowing until the season gets under way.

Warner I think you are right he will hang them up Brett I think will return next season.

Houston game I think that will be a tough fight that stadium will be rocking and no it will not be like a home game. People of Houston will buy those tickets up quickly and their hate of the Cowboys is great. That team will be highly motivated to win that game.

I concur...and the diva WILL be back next season....especially after they lose, hopefully this weekend!

I hope he DOES come back and we run up the score on them....does anybody REALLY think that we won't remember it? It won't be as much fun running it up on them if he wasn't the QB.....just wouldn't be the same....

I don't think Wade would do it. Brett did not run up the score Brad Childress did.

Don't be surprised if Favre called that.....there's been alot of talk that Favre is calling plays that were not sent in.

This was one of the reasons why I say the coach in the NFL that is the most "sackless" is Childress.

I don't doubt for one minute that Favre is the one who either changed the call or audibled into it. He's ALL about TD passes...even when he can run the ball in he opts for the sexy TD pass. Seen it too many times.

But I think you are right...Wade wouldn't do it....unfortuantely. I love killer attitudes....

if we go 500 on the road and win 6 to 7 games at home then we should be ok for the playoffs.

In that situation Brad Childress as the HC could have had the team kneel on the ball and kill the clock we had no timeouts to stop the clock. When it comes to running up a score that is on the HC

I haven't check, but I'm sure Phila and NYG don't play all four of those teams on the road!

Giants to, the Eagles/Commanders have the mirror schedule, they get them at home

You never really know how good a team will be until after the Offseason and Trade Deadline.

Even after that, teams could have injuries.

Regardless, if those teams remain strong, at least some will have an excuse if we don't make the Playoffs next year.

true

I love the argument from the Vikings, oh they called times out, hello that was the previous possession

the "don't complain just stop them" argument is weak as hell too

True. I know living here in Houston they are looking at their schedule and wondering if they will ever make the post season. They have come close and now they are looking at facing the NFC East after playing the NFC west this past season.

Do you honestly think that the December schedule will end with Detroit? If that game is december that is...haven't looked at the calendar.

I could see the NFL setting it up like this for our last 4 games....

Ind
NY Giants
NO
Phi

No. It's close to an ideal schedule yet still realistic. You'll see I gave us as many road primetime games as home.

Minor things I care most about:

Start off on the road against a decent team (it's an advantage opening on the road since you get some extra days to prep)
Have a late bye week
Have two road games sandwich the bye week (another advantage minimizing the travel aspect)
Have a tough home game on Thanksgiving
Have a tough road game after Thanksgiving on extra rest.
Two primetime games against the eagles since oddly enough, Reid has done poorly in primetime.
No back to back road games
No poor weather games
Finish at home in case you have to play Sat in wildcard round. Having a weak team already packed also helps.

Keith Brooking needs to find his inner Wyatt Earp for this game...

Tell them I'm coming! And hell's coming with me!

I am looking forward to that one. I'm glad it's in Minny. Wouldn't have it any other way. I want to go back to their house and kick their ***. Like we did with the eagles this year.

11-5 or 10-6 may do the trick again with that slate...wow. If the seaosn started tomorrow, they may only be favored in 1 or 2 road games.

Also...looking at NYG's slate shows it to be only slightly easier, but Philly has it easier still...just not my much.

Well look at it this way: except for the Saints the home schedule is relatively easy.

Clean up at home and go .500 on the road and your OK. That's what the Vikings did this year.
Yep. That's what it will come down to. Actually I think it's like that for pretty much every team, ever year. But next year it will be particularly important to win home games.
