Really tough way to lose

It’s really hard watching the refs routinely take the game out of the players hands.

The loss doesn’t hurt us much in the East race, but I’d at least like to have seen us get a real shot.

Agreed. But, I'm damn proud of this team. We went to an extremely tough place to play, and went toe to toe with one of the best teams with a rookie OC. And we damn near beat them. Tough loss, but I'm proud of them. We just need to improve our ST.

Moral victory! Too bad we don't have any real victories against a winning team.

very typical of JG era. always so close yet short of the goal. it’s happened over and over. i’m tired of this crap.

It would be one thing if it was isolated to just one game, but this has happened ALL season. We're the #1 most penalized team in the league and almost 50% of the time it's a questionable call to say the least.

I struggle to take away those positives, in all honesty.

The defense gave a nice effort, yes, but the offense and special teams looked like they game planned for an indoor game against Miami. Had no situational awareness, looked completely caught off guard by the weather, and appeared mentally weak as a result. The amount of drops, muffs and fumbles was comical.

That's not what happened today. We went into a tough place to play and we GAVE them the game. We had more talent but lost because our coaches didn't give our players a chance to succeed. If we were properly prepared we would have won that game. But we weren't.

If we could just be bad on STs, that would be an improvement. We have the worse coached STs in the country, at any level. Simply abominable, and that’s being generous.

I'm not sure what the stats are but it seems like every game I watch is a flag fest, Cowboys or not. Its really making the game unwatchable. Even after a good play you are just waiting for the flag. Ref decisions determine the outcome of way too many NFL games.

Vegas wins 99.99999% of the time.

That was a BS tripping call and so was the one against Smith. But this is why NE has won 20 games in a row in Foxboro. But Smith had two other penalties that were legitimate so he is not absolved..

Cooper should have caught that 4th down pass. You want to win a Super Bowl? You have to make plays like that!

Honestly, if I were calling plays, on that 3rd and 1, the way NE lined up I would have run Zeke right over Zack Martin for the 1 yard and 1st down. I bet he would have picked up at least 6 and no opportunity for tripping, holding or a sack. But that's just me.

The real problem is the play calling in the red zone. What's with all the trick plays? They don't work - ever. No one is ever fooled. You have 3 good receivers and a top RB. You also have a TE who is a huge size mismatch. I have to believe someone could get open or run for a few yards down there, no?

I didn;t expect them to win this game today so its not really that upsetting that they lost. The frustration is how they always seem to do something to put out their own fire.

I agree. The Cowboys were outplayed. But what angers me the most is when BS calls affect a game's outcome. The Cowboys were around midfield I believe when Frederick made the mistake of standing in the general vicinity of a Patriot.

Maybe the drive would have bogged down. Maybe Dallas would have scored. Now we will never know.

Games like this make me seriously reconsider why I watch so much football. I know I'm angry and this is probably reactionary, but it's how I feel right now.

Why did we kick it the last time? I mean your still down 4 points why not go for it. Poor dang coaching.

That was the right decision. They had plenty of time even though the defense allowed the Patriots to get a couple of first downs. The real problem was the tripping call on a 3rd and 1. Maybe it was technically tripping, but it was really ticky-tack and at that time in the game you just cannot call that. If that play stands the Cowboys are at the 40 yard line with 1:40 to play. They were moving the ball at that point with Gallup and Cobb. They had 3 time outs still and they could have run it once or twice too, if they got the right alignment.

The refs need to control themselves in games like this at the end.

the cowboys made to many mistakes in this game which is what they always do against the better teams they never get a turnover on defense this team will be lucky to make the playoffs ihope the don't so garrett is fired more than any thing now I want garrett gone where ever he wants to go

Hard to blame the Refs when you lose to the Jets, get off to slow starts and have the worst special teams in the league.

I agree, the special teams this year are just horrible. but losing to the Jets has no bearing on this game. If the refs had let that play stand, no one would have been yelling, "but did you see that tripping that wasn't called?" It would have gone unnoticed. It was a terrible call at a terrible time. And the one against Tyron Smith was BS too.
