We are getting pretty close to the draft and we're all chompin at the bit for Thursday, but I just wanted to highlight a guy we picked up not to long ago.
BRIAN PRICE
Coming out of the draft in 2010, he was projected as the fifth best DT.
Top 4 prospects:
Ndamukong Suh - Lions w/ 2nd pick in draft
Gerald McCoy - Bucs w/ 3rd pick in draft
Dan Williams - Cards w/ 26th pick in draft
Jared Odrick - Dolphins w/ 28th pick in draft
Price was then picked with the 35th pick in the draft by the Bucs. hmm..(They went heavy at DT that year.)
Here is his profile after the combine in 2010:

He came out of College with what seemed like a pretty ugly pelvic injury, but played for the Bucs in 2011. Seems as though he had problems with Raheem Morris and was traded to the Bears in the 2012 offseason, only to be cut before the 2012 season began. That could be a red flag there, but it was the Bears with Marinelli as the D- coordinator. If Marinelli cut him last September, but now wants him back, I have to wonder about it.
I bring this up for 2 reasons.
First, he was thought highly of only 3 years ago. The Bucs did the same thing with Price that we did with Lee and Carter. A 1st round talent slid because of injury. Now it didn't work out for them, but he may turn out to be a player for us.
On the flip side, the 2nd reason I point this out. If he is not worth much, it just goes to show how much of a crapshoot the draft is. Guys like Richardson or Williams could end up being no better than Price.
Just something different to chew on for the next few days.
