Reasons not to give up on the season

Don’t listen to all the naysayers here who’ve already given up on the season. A season that isn’t even 25% over. They have one of the best, if not the best, offense in the league. Yes, they also have one of the worst, if not the worst, defenses in the league. The defense has had a different DC the last 3 years. Because of that, they’re struggling to learn this latest defensive scheme. IMO, they’ll steadily start to improve going forward. They’ll also get some help with some players coming back from injury.

It’s a long season and usually the ones standing at the beginning of the playoffs are the ones that have sustained the least amount of injuries. Just look at all the players around the league with season ending injuries to star players.

Hate breeds hate and there’s no better place to prove that than here. Don’t listen to them. Just because some yahoo here says they suck and aren’t going anywhere doesn’t mean they’re right. I don’t give up until the fat lady sings. And she’s not even warming up it’s so early.

Reality is that unless a near miracle happens as regards our D, we are not going anywhere.

I'm still holding out hope we get it going sooner, but I still know and remember all what was said when we started the season at 3 - 5 in 2018...ended 10-6 in 16 game season , we have 1 extra and the WC rules changed since than i believe...

so, I'd say we have a better chance of turning it around this year, I realized we made a trade for Amari Cooper but it was more than that, but this year we do have lots of players coming back especially on defense, oversewn is big.. this guy is as important to our defense as Parsons was...

So, you can muzzle that fat lady and let's just keep our hope alive.

I just say we need to be at 500 mid-season at worse, hopefully better. anything can happen after that... Yes these two games are very winnable so you need to win them You don't have a lot of wiggle room since you lost to the Bears the Bears game was supposed to be the one you had AW and we'd be sitting here in a better spot...

so, they went 7-1 down the stretch won a playoff game and narrowly lost to the rams in round 2..

Cowboys fans want to see Cowboys games and wins whenever possible. Duh.

We'll get it right we call it being passive aggressive It's a way to speak your mind without getting benched around here getting to some kind of out of control flame war as they would say back in the day....


It is what it is I just don't want to hear all the talk about the draft and where we might pick in the draft and the 26% or whatever it was of you all and if you were on that list shame on you Last week there was a poll did you want to win or lose against the Packers and it may have something to do with the fact that Parsons was over there and maybe people are mad at Jerry I don't know why they made the poll but that is sad that that 26% said they wanted a loss that's what we're talking about that is who these types of threads are pointed at....

Are you trying to breed propaganda by suggesting anybody who doesn't believe what you are saying should be ignored? Why not just take the stance and suggest, for the reasons you stated, that you believe there is a chance here? Oddly, I don't read many, if any, threads from those who want a rebuild suggest ignoring those with differing opinions. Last I checked, everybody is entitled to what their end goal is for this season, and if they differ from yours, so be it. No need to call out a war against them.....

I've never went anywhere you wanna come at me 'cause I agree with him.... I will be here every day twice on Sunday on vacation I'll have my iPad with me so you wanna chit chat year round no matter if it's good bad or indifferent i'm a fan I don't have conditions on my fandom I watch every damn game that's televised and I sure hope the last one on Netflix is shown somewhere else because i'm not buying netflix...

It depends on what your goals are. If your goal is to make it to the SB, I'd say there is a less than 1% chance of that happening, especially with all the injuries. Once we are past the Jets and Panthers, the schedule gets a bit tougher. You can hold onto that 1% I suppose but realistically this season will not be a success.

I remember the Nolan year and the defense never got better. I will be surprised if this defense gets a lot better this year.

I root for them to win, but my expectations are low. That's because I believe the owner does not make winning his top priority. It is hard to win when winning isn't a priority at the top of the organization.

I don't think that is the goal this year I know that's typically everyone says there has to be the goal no that doesn't have to be the goal when you change over your entire staff you have a rash of injuries your hope is to have a positive win loss record and a shot at the wild card you need a shot at the playoffs..

You have to change your goals your expectations each year coming into here with a whole bunch of new players and then realizing the injury bug hit and that your defensive coordinator is not doing a very good job then you have to kind of adjust your expectations and mine is to try to win 9 games minimum maybe 10 and Justice squeak in to the wild card but be hitting on all cylinders and just have a shot we just need a shot you know like the New York Giants did twice..

Had very very suspect regular seasons and somehow they found a way to get it moving right around the exact time necessary and I know it's most likely not gonna happen but it's still out there four games in easily that can still be achieved...
