Reasons not to give up on the season

Don’t listen to all the naysayers here who’ve already given up on the season. A season that isn’t even 25% over. They have one of the best, if not the best, offense in the league. Yes, they also have one of the worst, if not the worst, defenses in the league. The defense has had a different DC the last 3 years. Because of that, they’re struggling to learn this latest defensive scheme. IMO, they’ll steadily start to improve going forward. They’ll also get some help with some players coming back from injury.

It’s a long season and usually the ones standing at the beginning of the playoffs are the ones that have sustained the least amount of injuries. Just look at all the players around the league with season ending injuries to star players.

Hate breeds hate and there’s no better place to prove that than here. Don’t listen to them. Just because some yahoo here says they suck and aren’t going anywhere doesn’t mean they’re right. I don’t give up until the fat lady sings. And she’s not even warming up it’s so early.

It’s a tale of two teams with this bunch. When our offense hits the field it’s exciting and really good, and sometimes look like the best team in football. Then our D comes onto the field and all hope is lost, and looks like the worst team in football.

You're ignoring the third phase of football which has been mostly good. Aubrey is a superstar, and we blocked and returned an extra point last week.

I didn’t give up dude. I stopped posting because the board was overrun with you haters pounding your chest about how much the sucked. I was here almost every day checking on updates about players and coaches. @Reality is there a way to pull up the stats on my visits to put these constant lies to rest?

Whatever you want to call it. We all noticed the length of time between your posts, and almost every member will agree the Zone was a much more peaceful place during that time.

I never once pounded my chest, no matter how much you want to claim I did. Did I make fun of them for losing? You bet I did, but I never pounded my chest like you think I did.

As long as there's a mathematical chance and we can demonstrate some positives I remain hopeful. If I was to concede the season 4 weeks in Id be pretty bored the next 13 games.

I agree with this mindset. I don't understand the mentality of giving up so early. We wait all off season for games and some posters are already looking forward to the draft.

What's the point of the draft if you never enjoy the actual games played.

You can be optimistic about having the best offense in an offensively geared league. You can also realize it will only take us so far with this current version of defense, and hope they can somehow make improvements.
